Warp Gates are advanced teleportation constructs designed to generate stable spatial portals, enabling instantaneous travel across vast interstellar distances. Usually Developed through joint Autobothuman collaboration, they function as strategic infrastructure similar to the Decepticonsspace bridge technology but with greater emphasis on cooperative control and accessibility. First appearing in Cybertronic orbit in 2021 through Scrapper’s experimental transwarp breach, warp gates quickly became a cornerstone of interplanetary logistics, with the Earth Defense Command establishing a counterpart in Earth’s orbit and G.I. Joe completing a Nebulos‑based installation in 2022. Though nominally faction‑controlled, their security protocols are deliberately simple to allow transport flexibility, ensuring that Autobots, humans, and even rival factions can exploit them when necessity dictates.

History[]

In 2021, Scrapper built a warp gate in Cybertron's orbit in an attempt to breach transwarp space. Soon after, the EDC constructed a matching one in Earth's orbit.

In 2022, G.I. Joe completed construction of a warp gate in orbit over Nebulos.

OOC Notes[]

On the MUX, the Warp Gates are meant to be like the G1 cartoon space bridges -- controlled by one faction, but useable any time one of the other functions needs it for plot purposes. While the gates are nominally controlled by one faction or another, security is easily bypassed whenever another faction needs to use them for RP purposes. For OOC ease of use, they aren't code-locked, but don't use the "controlled by X" keep you from using them as an excuse to be where the RP is. Though nominally faction‑controlled, their security protocols are deliberately porous to allow narrative flexibility, ensuring that Autobots, humans, and even rival factions can exploit them when plot necessity dictates.
