Nevada - Southwestern United States - North America[]
- Nevada is a state in the western, mountain west, and southwestern regions of the United States. Nevada is the 7th most extensive, the 35th most populous, and the 9th least densely populated of the 50 United States. Over two-thirds of Nevada's people live in Clark County, which contains the Las Vegas-Paradise metropolitan area where the state's three largest incorporated cities are located. Nevada's capital is Carson City. Nevada is officially known as the "Silver State" due to the importance of silver to its history and economy. It is also known as the "Battle Born State", because it achieved statehood during the Civil War; "Sagebrush State", for the native eponymous plant; and "Sage hen State."
- Nevada is largely desert and semiarid, with much of it located within the Great Basin. Areas south of the Great Basin are located within the Mojave Desert, while Lake Tahoe and the Sierra Nevada lie on the western edge. Approximately 86 of the state's land is owned by various jurisdictions of the U.S. federal government, both civilian and military.
Once again the Nevada desert has been invaded by Army green. This time, however, there are tanks of varying shapes and sizes arranged on opposite sides of the battlefield, and the teams are preparing to wage mechanized war. Hawk stands atop a makeshift stand to address the troops. "Alright Joes, here we are again. Last time we painted the desert red and blue against large squads, tonight, we use our own version of paint rollers to do the painting. Each tank is equipped with specially built paint rounds. If a tank is hit, it is hindered and must act accordingly. Three hits that tank is out and must stop where it is. The crew then has ten seconds to evacuate the tank, otherwise they will be considered casualties when the tank would in reality take them with it."
He points to the two groups. "Blue team takes left, red team takes right. Strap yourselves in and make ready for war."
Scarlett is wearing her normal outfit, with a katana strapped on the back, "All right Joes. Remember, unless you're Snake-Eyes or Jinx if you slash a tank with a sword it won't blow up. Everyone, remember sticky bombs and blast charges. If you have to evac, remember you're still dangerous. Get close to tanks and go for disables and try to take out their treads." Tank vs tank is always tricky. Particularly with the big, open areas.
"Tanks, remember. Shoot and move. Don't stay in one place beyond a shot. Speed is life." A sitting tank is a dead tank. Plus Scarlett is sure there's going to be quite a lot fo surprises in store - Hawk probably has his own things up his sleeve for battlefield chaos. So Scarlett adds as an afterthought, "Remember to sweep for mines and keep ECM up. Keep the machine guns ready in case any infantry try to flank us or get close. If you see anyone with AT missiles, prioritize them. Use HE rounds."
Pvt. Ahndi Nakamea, in her second outing, is unsurprisingly wearing the green camo of the rookie, aka a 'greenshirt'. At least today she's kitted out with the basic toolset that most are accustomed to. Rope, hook, etc. The rookie peers over at one of the large, impressive tanks, and investigates it for several moments, looking over its tread, and exposed alignment. Its so weird to see something built exclusively for war. After a few moments, she returns to her kit, the paint charges were interesting. She picked up one and held it, looking for signs of where the paint comes from.
And then the mention of minesweeping comes up, that was her duty as well. Combat engineers...dangerous and vital work, especially in a live fire zone. Ahndi straps on the arc-stylized newer minesweeper, and collapses it to rest on her back. Time for that'll come soon.
Just beyond California's Death Valley lie the arid deserts of Nevada. The flatness of this area is only broken by Las Vegas, and Reno/Carson City areas, and the restricted zones where the military tests all sorts of things in the emptiness. If you're looking for Area 51, you will not find it here and some nice men in green suits with M16s who will do their best to reassure you that the area does not exist, regardless of what Fox Mulder says.
Evac is more used to being a parajumping medic than tank crew support, but that's why this is called *training*. Joes get called into all kinds of situations, and this is a good way to prepare for being thrown into unusual circumstances. He listens to Scarlett's advice, taking it in and using it to supplement and expand his own training. Evac is currently wearing a desert camouflage BDU, with the distinctive maroon beret of the Air Force Pararescue unit. Evac is armed with a trauma kit, an M4 carbine, and a M9 sidearm. He keeps his ears and eyes open and his mouth decidedly shut.
- Evac
- Lt. Evac is a short (5'9") but broad man, with deeply tanned skin and a mix of Hispanic and Native Mexican features. His body is compact but muscular, and he walks with a confident, secure gait. When outside, his dark eyes are hidden behind black aviator sunglasses, but inside his gaze is friendly and warm. Evac is currently wearing a desert camouflage BDU, with the distinctive maroon beret of the Air Force Pararescue unit. Evac is armed with a trauma kit, an M4 carbine, and a M9 sidearm. He seems equally ready to injure or heal as needed to support his combat unit.
Battleaxe might seem as if she were late showing up to this training. In fact, she was checking on the alterations to 'her babies'. The usually distant 'paper-pusher' has spent the day watching the changes to the tanks, walking around the and generally fussing like a mother-hen as they were swapped out to non-lethal munitions. After a pat on a tread on one of her 'favorites', she hot-foots it over to the stands, catching the end of Hawk's orders. Shes.. -smiling-. Like, an actual grin lighting her face up. She picks up a generic load out, a few paint grenades and two pistols, eschewing the rifle she used last time.
Across the field teams are getting into position, crews are climbing into tanks. One green recruit, Private Luis Martinez, climbs into a tank on the opposite team. He looks greener than green, but enthusiastic about his participation. Hawk cups his hands around his mouth. "Alright folks, five minutes. Take your positions."
Scarlett would go to slide up her binoculars before going to slide into her tank one more time, "All righ Joes, ready. We're here to win. But so are they. Never underestimate what your enemy is willing to do to win. Be creative and smart. YO JOE!" Then she's getting into the tank crade and sliding up to her position as driver to get a good battlefield overview.
[G.I. Joe] Scarlett says, "All personnel are -strongly- encouraged to after this training operation to read the full AAR's on the Battle of Benzheen and operations in Trucial Abysmia in the early 90's and take the lessons to heart."
[G.I. Joe] Temera says, "so noted"
[G.I. Joe] Mara says, "Yes, ma'am."
[G.I. Joe] lil Wisp says, "Understood, ma'am"
[G.I. Joe] PVT Nakamea says, "Aye, Commander"
[G.I. Joe] Battleaxe says, "Yes ma'am"
General Hawk pulls a flare gun from his jacket pocket, and looks out over the field. The field has been done up with various anti-tank obstacles, mounds of sand, as well as natural terrain such as thick bushes, boulders, and gullies in the desert terrain. "On your marks... FIGHT!" he says as he pulls the trigger and the flare shoots over the field.
Evac grabs an explosive pack and prepares to move out on foot. Before his life as a PJ, Evac trained as a SEAL. He washed out of final training, but he still learned a thing or two about planting demolitions. He ducks low, moving across the battlefield quickly towards the nearest tank. Staying low to avoid detection and preemptive retaliation, he targets a weak spot on the tank and quickly sets the charge.
- GAME: Evac FAILS a TECHNICAL roll of High difficulty.
PVT Nakamea waves her hand towards the tank, "Change positioning, Area compromised!" She flags the area for minework, then hustles to catch up with the tank she's with.
Then the tank is going forwards. And instead of the normal routine of going for long range shots on the enemy forces or trying for suppression, Scarlett would go to call out as the engagement begins. "Popping smoke." She would go on the internal comms, even as her tank goes to start to blanket the 'friendly' side of the match over with some smoke rounds to give a bit of concealment to the deployment!
- GAME: Scarlett PASSES an INTELLIGENCE roll of Very High difficulty.
[G.I. Joe] Battleaxe says, "Don't break my tanks..."
Chi is out of her element working with heavy armor, so she takes the opportunity to learn more. She watches everyone carefully and makes mental notes while using the skills she has to help her teammates.
Battleaxe stops by a table on her way to the revie stand, making up two thermos mugs of coffee before heading up to stand next to Hawk. She sets the coffee down, picks up field glasses and settles to watch the groups work on tank maneuvering. She's still grinning like a happy person.
- Chi
- A middle-aged, athletic Tibetan woman is here with black hair and brown eyes. She wears a gi colored in shades of grey with a Yin Yang symbol on its right side. She has a Tibetan short sword and a knife of the same make on her right. Her bow and quiver of arrows are also of Tibetan make.
Temera tries to make sure to stay in the smoke for sure, looking around and trying to see or smell for anything that might be a problem.
- GAME: Temera PASSES an INTELLIGENCE roll of Average difficulty.
Mara tries to stay with the group as well as possible, trying to find pockets in the smoke to breathe a little better and watching to make sure of where she's going.
- GAME: Mara PASSES an INTELLIGENCE roll of Average difficulty.
- Mara
- The young woman before you has the general appearance of being around 25-26 years of age. She stands to a full height of 1.68 meters (5'6") tall, and her lithe form weighs in at approximately 52 kilos (115 pounds). Her figure forms a nice hourglass shape, with just enough at the shoulders to support the weight of her ample, full chest, below them. Relatively normal, yes? Or she would be... except that her entire body is an interesting shade of light purple.
- Her form narrows dramatically towards the waist, the width of her hips only being two thirds, at absolute most, the width of her shoulders. The narrowness of the hips is offset slightly by the slender, but slightly muscular legs below them. The musculature of her legs and arms, and the narrowness of her stomach, indicate that she either works out a great deal, or does not gain weight easily.
- Her arms, though visibly muscled, are narrow and slender for it, still, a tribute to her overall litheness in frame. She keeps her fingernails grown out to a half an inch beyond the tips of the fingers. The fingernails are kept unpainted.
- Sitting atop her shoulders, she has a slender neck, above which sits a softly rounded face. She has deep green eyes, which are accentuated delicately with black eyebrows, and dark, long eyelashes. Below the eyes, she has very high cheekbones, with a small, delicate nose between them. The cheeks are thin, below the bones, curving down succinctly towards her gently rounded chin, stopping only for her lush, smooth, full lips. Which are an even darker color than the rest of her face, a very rich purple.
- Above her forehead, her hair flows, down the sides and back of her head, almost to her waistline. It flows out just enough around the head that it doesn't cover her ears up totally. Her hair is raven black, and flows down totally straight, though it seems to be teased upward just a bit at the front. It covers part of her forehead. If you look very closely at her, along the sides of her neck by her hair, you might just make out the oddest thing about her. Gill slits...
- Right now she's wearing a 2nd Ranger Battalion uniform, with junior Private rankings.
From JSF #639, Wisp stays out of the smoke, staying above and away until asked for, watching for movement anywhere in the vicinity. And making sure she isn't blowing the smoke cover away from everyone else with the fighter.
[G.I. Joe] Scarlett says, "Infantry, maneuver to sweep for mines and threats, if you can get it position yourselves to flank or concealment. Priority is suppressing enemy infantry."
[G.I. Joe] PVT Nakamea says, "Understood, Commander"
[G.I. Joe] Chi says, "Yes, Ma'am"
[G.I. Joe] PVT Nakamea says, "Mines reported, section 6-1"
[G.I. Joe] Scarlett says, "Air support, if you see enemy strike craft engage at discretion."
[G.I. Joe] Lt. Evac says, "Moving into flanking position."
[G.I. Joe] Scarlett says, "Get ready for targeted strikes, permission given for engagement of targets of opportunity at your initiative.
As Scarlett puts out the smokescreen, the opposing tank force breaks apart slightly, spreading out along a long line. Meanwhile, their infantry support starts to also sweep for mines, while their heavy weapons teams find themselves some cover to await the incoming force. The smoke does allow Evac to get close enough to place his charge, but it is a dud. Hawk takes out a pair of field glasses and observes the movements, his expression at this point not showing much other than calm observation.
Evac plants an explosive on an enemy tank and rushes off, only to have nothing happen. He frowns... must be rusty and placing bombs on moving tanks IS different than his old role of underwater demolitions. He hustles away and keeps moving, doing his best to get into position to flank the opposition. It's a lot of ground to cover, but Evac is in tip-top shape, even for a Joe, and relies on his superior endurance to keep him going as he crosses the battlefield.
- GAME: Evac PASSES an ENDURANCE roll of Above Average difficulty.
PVT Nakamea shoulders her sweeper for the moment, and does exactly what she personally was worried about. She unslings her paintball rifle, takes a position using her tank escort as cover, and fires off at the enemy minesweepers. It was the last thing she really wanted to be caught doing. Put under fire while trying to save lives.
- GAME: PVT Nakamea PASSES a FIREPOWER roll of Little difficulty.
Chi draws her bow, nocks a foam tipped arrow, and also fires at one of the mine sweepers.
- GAME: Chi PASSES a FIREPOWER roll of Little difficulty.
Basic orders given, Scarlett goes to see how the battlefield develops. << Position yourselves to deny the enemy good positions, suppress and engage if can. Use your discretion infantry and support. >> A battlefield commander gives goals, subordinates and individual teams figure out how to best achieve them and the team works together.
"Gunner, target tank! AT!" The turret of her tank swings along.
"AT! Turret!" The SABOT round is put into the autoloader, aimed towards an enemy tank at long range, trying to find that sweet spot where the turret connected to the main hull of the tank to go for a disabling shot. At this long range, it wouldn't be a kill - even a mission kill. Not against frontal armor. But if they could disable the turret, it would mean that the tank would be in a bad place when it came to being able to effectively maneuver the battlefield.
Paint round loaded, tanker aiming.. Then going to unleash a ROUND as the Sabot round would launch through the air, the AT round splitting as the armor penetrating round going to hopefully splice through and 'penetrate' the enemy hull!
- GAME: Scarlett PASSES a DEXTERITY roll of Very High difficulty.
Temera checks her paint gun quickly, trying to see if she can note the opponents through any means available to her. If she can, she tries to launch a paint round at enemy minsweepers, and keep in the cover as much possible.
- GAME: Temera PASSES a FIREPOWER roll of Little difficulty.
Mara tries to see where enemies might be, but holds fire for now, not willing to make a long shot guess at where they might be, just looking for now, in hopes of getting a better view of them shortly.
SPLAT! The round from Scarlett's tank hits an opposing tank, and the crew sets off a smoke charge to simulate 'battle damage', and slow their tank accordingly. The barrage of fire from Chi and Nakamea take down a couple troops, but very few. The other team, however, has snuck two bazooka squads into position, finding Scarlett's tank right where they want it. A volley of bazooka rounds fly through the air. Most miss, but two find their mark, slamming into the side of the tank. Meanwhile, the enemy infantry sprays the opposing force with paintballs, some finding their mark as mine sweepers and bazooka teams on Scarlett's side 'fall' to the onslaught. Cheers erupt from the opposing team, and they boost in confidence, pushing forward with renewed vigor!
Battleaxe picks up one of the two thermos' of coffee and sips, still watching the event through field glasses. A bit of a wince as things start to get hot -n - heavy and the coffee is set down, exchanged for her making a few notes on a clipboard.
Evac sees the opposing team move in. Attacking from the flank, Evac raises his M4 paintball carbine and rushes the opposition, screaming as he runs to try to draw aggro away from the other more valuable troops. It's brave move, perhaps more foolhardy than smart, but this is G.I. Joe. Sometimes the gutsy move is what you need to win the day. If nothing else, Evac will go down fighting to protect his teammates.
- GAME: Evac PASSES a COURAGE roll of Above Average difficulty.
Hit. Tread out. Which means that Scarlett's tank is going to have very limited maneuverability and can't do more than spin. Even if they can get some screening in the tank will be dead in a couple of minutes tops. So Scarlett quickly evaluates. "Target enemy infantry, HE. Autoloader." In a pinch the Autoloader with gunners can shoot off up to five rounds a minute.
So, basically empty the turret of everything that can be launched - whether effectively aimed or not, try and inflict as much damage.. Then abandon tank! << This is Tanker One, disabled and disengaging. Keep up the pressure. Bombing run, engage enemy vehicles. Troopers, suppress enemy infantry and target light vehicles if possible. Deny them maneuverability. >> A battlefield is all about mobility. Keeping yours up and the enemy's down is the most important thing.
< YOO JOE! >
- GAME: Scarlett PASSES an INTELLIGENCE roll of Very High difficulty.
PVT Nakamea leaps from the fray as her tank gets mobility killed. She's ahead enough of the shots that the game refs clear her to continue. She dips into a trenchline, and stays low before digging into her pack. It was infantry fire above right now, but the rumble of treads and motion tell her that armor was right nearby. None of these tanks were going to hurdle any trenchwork, though they could, surely for the risk of hurting anyone beneath, so her blasting charge was going to have to come at it from the side.
Ahndi peeks up from the trenchline, her kettle showing a bit more than it should. With all the opposing team using the tank as cover, she had a free chance to move in. << Moving to demo! Hold inbound fire! >> Ahndi pulls herself up out of the trench, slams her simulated detpack onto the side, sets the trigger for ten, and rolls back into the trench with a thud. This time, it was almost fun...but not quite.
- GAME: PVT Nakamea PASSES a TECHNICAL roll of Above Average difficulty.
Chi summons her inner chi and sends a blast designed to knock them back and show it hits without hurting them.
- GAME: Chi PASSES a STRENGTH roll of High difficulty.
Temera sights her weapon again, and tries to splat another opponent with a more mundane paintball.
- GAME: Temera PASSES a DEXTERITY roll of Below Average difficulty.
Mara peeks out from the smoke cloud, sighting the paintball gun and trying to go for a quick action of her own this time.
- GAME: Mara PASSES a DEXTERITY roll of High difficulty.
The opposing teams vigor is quickly tempered by return fire from Scarlett's team, with over a dozen opposing players falling to the paintball onslaught. Quickly, they scatter, and for a time, they are dis-oriented and uncoordinated. The tanks break apart as well, as bazooka rounds take out several opposing tanks.
Ahndi's charge counts down... but then nothing. Perhaps it was a dud. The driver, Martinez, quickly backs off from her position and tries to find another way around.
PVT Nakamea hoofs it, scrambling through the trench as she moves to get back to her own lines. With her own escort down, and that tank she placed her charge on, infantry was going to be a bit wild soon. As blue team forces flee into the trenchline with her, she scrambles to get out of their line of fire in time!
- GAME: PVT Nakamea PASSES an AGILITY roll of Little difficulty.
As things fall into chaos, Evac drops his heroic charge and tries to think more tactically. He peers through the smoke, trying to regain some situational awareness. He's running low on paintballs after his reckless assault. Choosing his shots more carefully, he stalks his opponents. Think, Evac. WWDD? (What Would Duke Do?) Evac jogs to cover, taking a moment to rethink his position and plan his next attack.
- GAME: Evac PASSES an INTELLIGENCE roll of Average difficulty.
From JSF #639, Wisp decides to enter the fray this time, zooming in to sight in the tank, and letting off a round once she's in range.
- GAME: Wisp's F-35B Lightning II #639 PASSES a DEXTERITY roll of Very High difficulty.
Battleaxe sips coffee and takes notes, glancing through the field glasses to insure she's noting the correct positions and actions.
Temera tries to see if she cna't hit another infantry type with paintgun fire, trying to stay in cover if she camn to do so.
- GAME: Temera PASSES a DEXTERITY roll of Above Average difficulty.
Mara meanwhile tries to stay in cover elsewhere, and fire careful rounds at enemy infantry whenever possible.
- GAME: Mara PASSES a DEXTERITY roll of High difficulty.
Chi draws her bow and fires a shot
- GAME: Chi FAILS a FIREPOWER roll of Below Average difficulty.
Now out of her own tank, Scarlett is just going to pull out her katana. Then heading towards the nearest group of uncoordinated enemy infantry, she goes to just go full snake eyes, and moves to charge into them, katana flying! IF she can, going for 'shock and awe' and using the flat of her blade to strike. Mostly trying to break up the enemy formation before they can rally
- GAME: Scarlett PASSES a COURAGE roll of Very High difficulty.
It seems the scenario has devolved to absolute chaos. Paintballs fly, people on both sides are dropping... then suddenly, training devolves into something more real. The demo pack placed by Ahndi turns out to not be the dud it appeared to be. Suddenly the tank, with Private Martinez inside, disappears in a massive explosion, throwing shrapnel everywhere. Many Greenshirts near are hit with shrapnel, some are burned from the heat of the flames, and thick black smoke rises into the sky.
Hawk is suddenly shocked, dropping his field glasses and barking orders. "MEDICS! ON STATION, NOW! EVACUATE THE COURSE, I WANT A ROLL CALL, NOW!!!!" he shouts, jumping down off the platform and running to the edge of the training field.
Everything goes quiet for Scarlet as she's rapidly throwing her blade behind her back, "Everyone, rally on the General and evacuate the area! Anyone that can get on the course to help evacuate!" She's swearing. Badly. What the -hell-? Then she's going to sweep around her head in a wild look above for any signs of..
<< All personnel, watch out in case it's sabotage >> A training tank shouldn't go up without -extreme- accidents or maintenance issues. So now paranoia sets in that they're about to have a Cobra infiltration group hit the team. << Anyone not helping with rescue maintain perimeter >>
- GAME: PVT Nakamea FAILS a COURAGE roll of Very High difficulty.
PVT Nakamea is still down in the trenchwork when an actual explosion hits the area, the blast is the loudest she'd ever dealt with, and Ahndi slips on the dirt and falls down, "We're under attack!" She screams, before trying to get more headway away from the explosion, and the next ones she feared would come.
Evac drops his paintball gun and goes immediately into medic mode. He rushes towards the wounded, doing rapid mental triage and moving first to the people he can most help. As other medics rush in, he takes control, directing enlisted medical forces where they're most needed. As soon as he gets the initial wounded stabilized, he runs back to his 'downed' tank to grab his medpack, and then he's back in the fray. He doesn't worry about Cobra infiltrators yet - his priority is saving who he can. He leaves the counter-defense to Scarlett.
- GAME: Chi PASSES a COURAGE roll of High difficulty.
Chi Is shocked, but manages to obey Scarlett's orders and maintains the perimeter. SHe readies a blast in case it is an enemy attack and waits
After the explosion, other than the sounds of the Joes trying to cope with the new situation, the desert remains calm. A firefighting team rushes into action and begins to put out the blaze that was the tank, hitting it with extinguishers to get the flames undercontrol. Once they do, they attempt to find the driver. They do.. what's left of him. All they find is a charred lump in the remains of the cockpit, the only thing identifying that it was once human is the dogtags reading "PVT. MARTINEZ, LUIS". Hawk narrows his eyes as the body is pulled out. "Allright, I want answers, and I want them now. I saw the practice pack placed on there, now I want to know how in the HELL a live pack ended up in a training exercise!?"
Scarlett would tense, her head bowed over in sadness, "I was the one in charge of this. Any failures are mine." The pain hits at her. She was the highest ranking involved officer. She should've checked all equipment and packs. Teh failure.. Is all on her.
From JSF #639, Wisp lands after the explosion and hops out quickly, though there isn't much she can help with.
Mara will move up to see what's going on better, though stay well back from emergency response, frowning severely.
PVT Nakamea is rounded up with the rest of the greenshirts, and eventually comes around to that it was a training accident, not a Cobra ambush. She's covered in dirt now, and obviously scared. She hunches down in the middle of the greenies, just stunned by the accident.
Questions come up among the recruits, "Who tagged a red tank?" "Who's got demo?"
She runs her dirty hands over her face, tears wiping into trace mud, "I-I've got demo. But its the right k-kit."
Battleaxe drops off the viewing point and runs towards the mass of milling first responders and green shirts, weaving her way through. She skids to a halt and stares at the mess of tank with wide eyes. "I'll get on that, sir. I was tank watching today, not ordinance but we can go over tags and inventory."
Evac leaves the dead to others, and makes sure no one else is injured by fire or shrapnel.
General Hawk snaps his gaze over to where Nakamea mentions she was demo, and he steps closer, taking a good look at her. "You were the one who placed the pack." he says evenly. "Present your remaining packs for inspection, soldier."
PVT Nakamea looks up from her sitting position, up at the General of GI JOE. "Sir..." She moves to stand and fumbles for her waistbelt, one square on the side emptied, the other two remaining.
Evac stands nearby. He'd used the fake demo packs, too, but targeted another tank. Could his be live as well? He flags an EOD specialist to check his targetted tank and make sure there's not another explosion waiting to happen.
Hawk takes the remaining det packs. Almost immediately, he can see they are not training. "These are live packs." he says, looking her straight in the eyes. "The only place these could have come from is the armory, all training equipment has been kept separate and well marked." To further drive the point home, the det pack Evac placed is retrieved. It is clearly a mockup, similar in appearance but marked as a training explosive and filled with paint. Hawk looks at it, then looks back at Ahndi. "I don't know what is going on here, but we have a mess to clean up and you have some explaining to do. Pending an investigation, you are hereby confined to barracks." he says, motioning for MPs to take her into custody. He then barks at the rest of the gathered Joes. "Alright, let's get this cleaned up. I want the wounded stablized and back to the PIT ASAP. I want all equipment inventoried and accounted for, and above all, I want ANSWERS people. Move!"
Chi snaps to attention and shouts, "Yes, Sir!"
"Yes, sir!" Evac joins in, moving to help the injured once more.
Scarlett would snap her head over, "She's a good Private, Sir. I'll vouch.." As far as she's concerned, this is on her. But she has a black thought in the back of her head. This is sabotage. She would go to take her fingers to her lips for a moment in thought. Then snapping to attention as well. Looking at Battleaxe. "Make that a visual inventory. And check other things used in the training and through stores." She has a bad feeling this is only the tip of the iceberg.
PVT Nakamea looks shocked, and its apparent. "Sir! I...this was my assigned kit, I..." She starts to protest, or explain or process, but its all lost and its lost quickly. Ahndi looks about, as the MPs put her arms behind her and take her into custody, handcuffs and all. She just looks around, confused, as the MPs guide her aside, and hold her until pick up. Her words drop to a quiet protest, "I didn't do anything wrong. That was my kit..."
Battleaxe leaves the handling of the people to the boss. The equipment, and possible bad inventory is her field. "Yes sir. On it." To both Hawk and Scarlett. She moves in to start working with the others present to collect all of the ordinace currently on the field from all participants and from in the tanks themselves. "Lets get it laid out and start counting people, move it."
Evac helps gets the injured off the field, and goes with to treat their wounds.
Scarlett would call out, "Secure the area. I want a forensics team on it as soon as possible. Double check all equipment. I want a top down inspection of hangar bay, vehicle bay, armory, storage, maintenance.. EVERYTHING. All inspections are to be done -by hand-. Roll calls confirm. We lost a friend today, Joes. We can't let them have gone on in vain." She has her own suspicions as to what happened. The same suspicions most others probably have.
Scarlett would glance at Battleaxe, "I want all this done ASAP. You have full authority to pressgang anyone into it that is not on direct critical assignment or mission for this. Every Joe that can walk."
Battleaxe looks up from where she's already eyeball deep in requisitioning files via mobile device, "Got it."
Scarlett would glance at the rest of the privates, "Get your equipment inventoried and cross checked. Then.." She goes to speak over to Battleaxe again, "Have them do blind cross checks of one another." Just in case there's someone that shouldn't be there subverting. "After, get yourselves cleaned up and debriefed."
Wisp starts checking the plane over quickly, frowning and mumbling. "Glad the round I dropped was paint." She checks to make sure if she can that everything is dummy rounds, though some of that at least will have to be done at base with proper equipment.
Chi lets others check her equipment, though it is obviously non-lethal. She helps check other people's weapons.
Mara will check for anything bad in hers, including any underwater demo packed but not needed since that's one of her specialties, and check to make sure the rounds are all paint in the paintgun.
Temera will check all the rounds in her paintgun to make sure, frowning.
