“ Not all power lies on the throne. ”

Vizier is a young transformer with a long history, named for the court role of advisor and also for the original queen piece in chess. The vizier’s role has been to counsel and assist those in power, not to reign themselves. Normally this would work wonderfully, but Viz has this symbol on his chest, and like most folks with that symbol treachery and deception go hand in hand. Vizier is perfectly capable of giving good, solid advice, he just doesn’t do it all the time for everyone. If he feels that person would ‘benefit’ more from bad advice, he will happily give it. Both these factors, youth and role, are denoted through his color scheme, primarily green, to showcase his newness to the cause and his major flaw, jealousy of most above him. Though not one of the great wyrms of human legend, his dragon form holds fragments of Eastern and Western mythology, and breathes chlorine gas instead of traditional fire. When disguised as tape he is always recording, always listening.

 

 

Description[]

A reptilian quadruped, serpentine in form, resembling nothing so much as a East Asian dragon. The body stretches out almost eight feet from tip to tail. Dark green metallic scales ripple down the length of the beast from a crest of sleek backswept horns of tarnished pewter, akin to those on a pronghorn antelope, at the back of a leonine head. Around the lower half of the beast’s face and mouth are rippling layers of metal fins, almost gill-like, except for two long coils of moustache hanging low. Near the front shoulders are a set of yellow green batlike wings, similar in shade to a cloud of chlorine gas. Each limb, fore and aft, end in sharp four fingered claws, dark as the horns upon its head. Lighter wider scales cover the underbelly of the machine, only marred where a human heart would lie, instead a Decepticon symbol in its place.

Vizier was built and raised on Caminus, in the Way of Flame. Designed as an adjunct and scribe he read deeply of the Flames texts, translating into various languages to assist with prostelyzation across the galaxy. Unfortunately the very texts he read were his own downfall. He examined them too deeply and combined with the flood of information after Caminus was rediscovered by Cybertronians he grew jaded and his faith in the Primes faltered and he fell. Attempts to subvert the Orthodoxy of the Way of Flame to showcase the fallibility of the Primes first fell on deaf ears, then with the stringency of his heresy he was forced to flee across oceans of vacuum until washing up on the rusting shores of Cybertron. He acted as a lesser functionary of the Decepticon government until adoption and physical reformat by Ghost. Now Vizier acts as an advisor to the commander and backup as one of her tapes.

Vizier has been assigned as Decepticon ambassador to Valvolux.

In 2025, Cyclonus ordered Vizier and Iguanus to foment revolt in Valvolux. The goal: break their spirit until they beg for Decepticon "order."
