Typhoon appears in a recorded message. From the angle and quality of the picture, it seems likely it was recorded from a wrist-mounted camera. Ty looks harried and tired as she gives her report.
“Last night some new Decepticon commander returned to Cybertron – the veterans called him Overlord. He launched an immediate attack against our defenses, and wow – it was a doozy! It took all the forces we had, led by Grimlock, to push ‘em back. Worst, he hit the city walls with some kinda beam that just – just ate ‘em away. We lost 8 Autobots in just that one strike.” Ty shakes her head, turning on her cooling fans to help deal with the sorrow and stress.
“Almost as bad,” Typhoon continues, “Grapple says the damage can’t be fixed – it’s like something about the ray is still destroyin’ the walls and we’re gonna have to cut away the damage an’ start over. Luckily we had Dust Devil ta shore up th’ defenses with his forcefield before they collapsed completely. After we launched a full barrage against Overlord, he made some threats and withdrew with his troops.”
Typhoon’s frown deepens. “If they attack again, led by someone as powerful as Shockwave – I’m afraid th’ city might fall.” She sets her small jaw. “In th’ meantime, however, we’re all pitchin’ in ta rebuild th’ wall. Stormy, no teasin’ me about my weldin’ skills – it’s all hands on desk.” Ty glances off-camera, and then turns back. “OK. Back to work. Ty out.” The transmission ends.
