Examining the logs from Los Angeles, it seems the BATnet went down shortly after Hotwire sent out a software upgrade to all BATs in the area. My team is still analyzing what happened, but somehow following the patch all Battle Android Troopers quickly overheated and caught fire, prompting out human personnel to retreat following the loss of their unreliable robot backup. Hotwire himself is still missing - he may have died in the fire which consumed the BAT command and control outpost.
Our remaining BATs should be safe from harm, but it may be wise to supplement when with as many human troops as possible in case of another catastrophic failure of our android troops. I’m having my Techno-Vipers look over their code to scan for any possible weaknesses, although Dr. Mindbender himself may want to take a look. I have travelled to the United States to oversee the efforts directly, and am available for questions if needed.
