5/31/2015 - Recovery efforts continue today at the Offutt Air Force Base. The base, home of the 55th Wing of the Air Combat Command, was subject last month to a bold attack by Cobra Unity forces, who have increasingly directed attacks against the United States since the two countries clashed last year over control of resource-heavy Frusenland. The April attack, however, was the most direct, as Cobra reportedly used Arbco Brothers Circus transport trucks to bring tanks directly to the edge of the base prior to rolling onto the primary airfield and opening fire. US troops stationed at the base were able to swiftly repel the assault. A yet unknown number of Cobra attackers were killed during the two-hour firefight before the remainder of the force were driven back and retreated on foot.

“There's evidence that a lot of Cobra fighters abandoned their weapons and fled the area,” said one official spokesperson for the Offutt base.

Police and military personnel continue to search and round up domestic and foreign fighters brought in by Cobra for the attack. The Arbco Brothers Circus, based out of Broca Beach, New Jersey, is currently under investigation for its possible terrorist links to Cobra. Senate leaders in Washington debate whether Cobra’s actions predicate a former declaration of war. U.S. President Hussein Dunham has said that the recent Cobra attacks, including a threat to plunge America into a “pyramid of darkness,” will not go unaddressed, and that he is discussing appropriate response options with US Secretary of Defense Ashton Carter. Dunham has said that air strikes against Cobra targets have not been ruled out, but has yet to commit to sending ground troops into Cobra Unity itself.
