Space Knight

The Space Knights are a knightly organization from space.

Space Knights are the elite warriors of the Solstar Order's military arm. Instantly recognizable by their trademark silver armor, the Space Knights have spent the last two hundred years waging endless war against their foes the Dire Wraiths, a race of malicious alien shapeshifters. This endless war has given rise to the signature arsenal of the Space Knights, a wide variety of multi-purpose tools designed to help track down and eliminate their slippery foes. These include the Wraith-detecting Energy Analyzers and the deadly Neutralizers, both of which are housed within their flight-capable suits of armor.

Though rare, it is not unheard of for Space Knights to range beyond Solstar territory in their pursuit of the Wraiths. Rom, a Lord of the Solstar Order, has recently followed the trail of the Dire Wraiths all the way to Earth.

History

2005 IDW continuity

The Solstar Order combated the Dire Wraiths across the galaxy for centuries before the Wraiths invaded Elonia. During the Wraith attack, rookies, Rom, Livia, and Fy-Laa discovered a mysterious ore which grew to form a suit of armor around them creating the first Space Knights. Other members of the Solstar Order would later don the armor and the ranks of the Space Knights would expand. Hasbro Heroes Sourcebook #2

Approximately 15 to 20 years after the group's founding, a new generation of Space Knight cadets was formed. As part of their training they accompanied senior Knights on low risk missions. Stories of the Knights had reached the ears of the Galactic Council and the Cybertronians, neither of whom were particularly impressed. Shining Armor #1
