SAS troopers are a tough lot. They think wresting crocodiles is a sport for sissies and shouldn't be engaged by real men with important things to do. SKYMATE is one of the toughest of the lot and he's twice as dangerous because on top of being tough he's quiet and fast. Not the bloke you want soaring down on you in a dark night with a compound bow in his hand.
SKYMATE was handy with boomerangs, knives, and woomeras (spear throwers) long before he received exotic weapons training in the Special Air Service. Growing up on a remote station, not far from the Haast Bluff Aboriginal Reserve, he acquired many of the skills that would enable him to outmaneuver Cobra in trouble spots around the globe.
Description[]
Skymate is a tall, tough-looking bloke in a Multicam-design camouflage standard Operational Combat Uniform (or all-black coveralls if on a night special ops mission). On his head Skymate wears a sandy-coloured beret with a metal, gold and silver SASR badge depicting the sword Excalibur. A garter blue lanyard is worn.
Skymate has a resplendent brown mustache, and carries his gear in dark yellow combat webbing. He wears army-green gloves and boots, with a sheathed dagger on the left wrist and a boomerang tucked into his belt. In the field Skymate carries an M4A5 carbine as his primary weapon, and a FN MAG 58 as a support weapon. Skymate is an E-5 corporal, but is usually addressed simply as Skymate.

Daniel Toner grew up on a remote station in Queenstown, Australia, not far from the Haast Bluff Aboriginal Reserve, where he acquired many of the skills that would enable him to outmaneuver Cobra in trouble spots around the globe.
He was therefore handy with boomerangs, knives, and woomeras (spear throwers) long before he received exotic weapons training in the Special Air Service.
In 1991, Skymate was attached to G.I. Joe on second assignment from 3 Sabre Sgn. Australian SAS. He served with the Joes for a year before returning to Australia.
MUX History[]
Skymate continues to serve with the SASR in Australia.
In 2016, he tangled with Major Bludd during an incident at Pine Gap.
In 2020, Skymate was sent to find Lori Henshaw and confirm she was OK.
