As part of archiving the Transformers Universe MUX, we have been including BBPosts on character pages themselves with linkbacks. As of October 2023, we are moving towards a Reports page style where a by faction or type of report page is created and all reports are archived on these pages with link-backs to characters and or TPs without adding the report into the character page itself.

December 11 - Evac: Doc and Hawk[]

Subject: Doc and Hawk
Monday, December 11th, 2006, Stretcher and I responded to an emergency call issued by Captain Wisp, and headed quickly for the Pit medical bay. Upon our arrival, we found General Hawk bleeding profusely from an arterial injury and being given crisis first aid by Dr. Carla Greer. Hawk had already lost a lot of blood and showed signs of shock.
Wisp was in the curtained alcove where the Doctors Greer had been staying, and while there seemed to be a lot of blood present, she didn’t appear to be hurt or in immediate danger, so we directed our efforts to assisting Carla Greer with General Hawk.
Apparently, Wisp had apprehended the male Dr. Greer, who was allegedly responsible for the attack, but neither Stretcher nor I witnessed the attack, nor Doc’s subsequent breakdown while in Wisp’s custody. We focused on stabilizing General Hawk and getting him into the OR, where Carla Greer stitched his wounds and replaced his lost blood.
As of this report, Hawk remains
in serious but stable condition, primarily due to the
efforts of Carla Greer, and we hope to move Hawk out of
intensive care by early next week if his state continues to improve.

I have an arrangement with the local college of Medicine to supervise and train the residency program in the hospital's Emergency Room. I've left a team of very capable medics in the Pit, though if someone would rather see me, I'd be more than happy to arrange it. Just let me know. I always have my cell phone on, as well as my radio."
"One more important reminder: If you are in my general area and wish to see me in the hospital, that's fine too; however, please keep in mind that the hospital is *not* the Pit Infirmary, and certain information needs to remain classified to the civilian medical personnel. If you contact me within the hospital, address me as 'Dr. Steen' *only*. Thank you."
Sep 27: Slipstream (Rank 5+ Only)[]

"Slipstream presented at Seattle Memorial yesterday afternoon with a slight fever and bone pain in his humerus where 2 weeks prior he had sustained a hairline fracture and several penetrating bullet wounds. I confirmed a moderate case of osteomyelitis, and admitted him for observation. Treatment is an intravenous line of antibiotics, and several days of rest. In layman's terms, Slipstream developed a bone infection at the site of a previous arm fracture, and I'm taking him off of active duty for a couple of days to treat him in Seattle. His prognosis is very good, and I expect to discharge him in a few days. Lifeline out."
Sep 27: Destro & Spike (Rank 5+)[]

"Due to events that have occurred in the past few days, I'm concerned that there could be active COBRA activity in the Seattle area. While treating Spike Witwicky for minor smoke inhalation, he received two visitors. One of them was the Autobot Tonka, which didn't surprise me. The other was Destro, which DID surprise me. The latter only stayed a short time, and then departed without incident. When I questioned Spike, he became somewhat defensive; he told me I had no right to judge his situation, and that he was only working for Destro because he couldn't find better work and needed to feed his family. I cautioned Spike against taking any sort of action against Destro on his own."
"The following afternoon, while taking a lunch break at the midtown park, I once again saw Destro. He was unaccompanied and apparently doing nothing more than loitering, but I'm very concerned by his continued presence in Seattle. I will report any future encounters, and will await orders on how to handle the situation. Lifeline out."
Oct. 19: Twilight Memorandum (Rank 5+)[]
I regret to report that Twilight of Special Operations is no longer with our unit. She has resigned under unusual circumstances, and my last encounter with her was, to say the least, suspicious. Her whereabouts are unknown. Recommend Mainframe investigate database tampering.
Oct. 26: Convoy Encounter in Kentucky[]
(Lifeline seems to be reporting from an infirmary bed. He has an intravenous line in one arm and is wearing a lovely green hospital gown. He has extensive visible burns, though none of them seem particularly grave. His voice is very raspy...sounds like his throat is swollen)
"At approximately 1600 hours local time yesterday, myself, Slipstream and Jinx were at a residential cookout, at the location of Slipstream's parents' summer home in Kentucky. We were disrupted by the sound of a tremendous crash, and we found a fiery crash on the nearest road between a semi truck and a family sedan. I went immediately to pull the survivors out of the wreck, while Slipstream went to, ah, investigate the semi, and Jinx went inside to call paramedics. As it turns out, the semi was a Decepticon named Convoy, just out for a day of destruction to get his kicks."
"At this time, we notified the Pit, and Stalker arrived on scene, as well as an Autobot later identified as Growler. A battle commenced, with...multiple incidents of...civilian property damage. Admittedly, my attention was more on the two persons pulled from the burning sedan at this time, and getting them the help they needed. At some point, Slipstream emerged from a shed with a...Civil War cannon, fully functional, and he proceeded to fire it at Convoy. Unsure if he was hit by the ordinance, but it...was loud."
"Once Convoy had been forced to retreat, I retrieved Slipstream, who had sustained damage to his inner ear and was experiencing vertigo. The local paramedics arrived for the injured couple, and we were able to assess the damage before Growler offered us transportation. I had him drop us off in the vicinity of the Pit, though closer to the wooded area than the main road."
(He coughs, then takes a long drink of water and continues)
"Slipstream should be alright in about a week or two. I reviewed his inner ear scans...he may have a slight perforation of the eardrum, but even so, there's no significant permanent hearing loss. He's pretty fortunate. As for myself...it could have been worse. Extensive 1st degree burns, some 2nd-degree burns, and a patch of 3rd on my thigh. Minor esophageal burns from smoke inhalation. Small price to pay to make sure those people survived."
(A nurse suddenly appears, and murmurs quietly to him: "Dr. Steen? ...Excuse me...a lawyer is on the phone...says he's representing the rental car company...he says the company is proceeding with a lawsuit...")

Nov. 22: Blogged Rebuttal to Krista[]
(This rebuttal of Krista's column appears on a soldier's personal '.mil' blog, which then goes viral by way of social networking and forwarded e-mails in the following days)
Ms. Krista Devereaux's recent screed against the G.I. Joe team was naive, short-sighted, and contained a number of fallacies and errors that could only have been made by someone who is completely unfamiliar with the reasons most countries retain special missions forces in the first place.
Ms Devereaux claims that America's special missions forces are not effective, and that they are a waste of taxpayer money. How she can claim this, and then in the same breath claim that she's a patriot is unconscionable. Of course COBRA still exists -- did she think that taking down such an extensive organization would take a few short weeks? As long as there are extremists in the world, there will always be a terrorist network. Clearly, Ms. Devereaux has no concept of how effective the G.I. Joe team has been over the decades in quashing terrorist activity.
"Read the news," she writes, then asks rhetorically, "When was the last time you saw an article stating that G.I. Joe thwarted a terrorist act of any kind on American soil?" Special missions forces are not necessarily overt about their pursuits. Not every special forces mission is an obvious one; in fact, the obvious ones are just the tip of the iceberg, and much of the work is done covertly. This should be a fairly obvious fact to anyone familiar with military protocol, though unfortunately, Ms. Devereaux seems to miss the point. So just because she doesn't see any progress, that doesn't mean that progress isn't being made. The fact that Ms. Devereaux can wake up every morning and enjoy the freedoms of being a citizen of the United States of America is testament to the G.I. Joe team's continued success, on all fronts of the fight against terrorism.
Ms. Devereaux advocates for a redistribution of the team back into their respective military branches, to close what she sees as an antiquated government 'pork project'. This would be a colossal failure on a number of levels. Let's take the Army as an example. The Army is an extremely broad military branch, encompassing hundreds of different fields. There can be no single-minded goal for such an organization; it would be impossible, as there are far too many responsibilities to consider. With a special missions force, the best and the brightest specialists from each individual field are brought forth, trained extensively, and given extremely specific goals. I'm not sure how Ms. Devereaux can think of the G.I. Joe organization as a 'cancer', when they are more like the highly-trained immune system fighting the cancer of terrorism, freeing up the regular military branches to perform more efficiently with all the other tasks they are entrusted to achieve.
In conclusion, I think that Ms. Devereaux is entitled to her opinion, and I'm completely entitled to disagree with her -- which I do in every possible way.

Nov. 24: Second Rebuttal to Krista[]
(Once again, this appears in a soldier's personal blog, and is forwarded virally, without the aid of syndication)
One of the first things Ms. Devereaux pulls out of her arsenal this time is...a pop gun, with a sign that says 'Bang!' Really, I was hoping for something better, especially since she spoke very eloquently beforehand about being gifted with a mind. If she'd rather resort to playground tactics, I can *try* to stoop to her level, but gee, she could be a COBRA operative running a syndicated column under the guise of fame! Good heavens, Why doesn't someone investigate her??
Are we done with the finger-pointing? I hope so. It's terribly childish. I signed this rebuttal with my credentials to allow Krista to see who I am, that I don't hide behind anonymous names or computer handles. I'm a real person. She's more than welcome to discover this for herself.
Let me continue by saying that while it's admirable Ms. Devereaux has military personnel in her family and has finally demonstrated a working knowledge of the armed forces (which she should have done in her first column), this does not make her even remotely qualified to speak for them. It would be equally ludicrous for me to suddenly announce that since I have a younger sister who once starred as 'Annie' in a fourth-grade play (which is TRUE: Go Steph! I love ya, mwah!!), that I suddenly have credentials to know what's best for all actors. I'm sure Ms. Devereaux would surely take issue if I began telling her how things should run in her industry, as she should. It would be...obnoxious, at best.
I'd like to know where she's getting the Joe mission response time data. Sounds like she's making it up. If it's such a secret organization, how is there unclassified response time data available for them? Curious...
Additionally, if Ms. Devereaux has such faith and pride in her country and her government, she has a pretty difficult time trusting them enough to make such an important decision. If the Joes have been around for this long without getting their budget cut, then they must be doing something right.

May 08 - Medical Prognosis - Banshee[]

SUBJECT: Medical Prognosis - Banshee
Second Lieutenant Lori Henshaw has recently awoken from her coma, the result of injuries sustained when a Cobra Night Raven's heat-seeking missiles targeted the engines of her Conquest X-30 while preparing for liftoff during Cobra's attack on Fort Hood and the Pit in August of last year. The prognosis, however, is concerning: microscopic shrapnel traces are still lodged in her chest, dangerously close to her lungs and heart. Courtesy of G.I. Jane, an electromagnet breastplate is holding the shrapnel in place, but it is bulky and unwieldy.
While she seems stable from a medical standpoint, there are concerns that she may have psychological trauma because of her near-death experience, although she is doing her best to hide it. I would suggest that Psyche-Out conduct a psychiatric evaluation as soon as possible. Regardless of those findings, I fear that further military duty will not be an option for her, and that proceedings for a medical discharge will be called for soon.
Currently, Lt. Henshaw is recovering at the Wilford Hall USAF Medical Center, Lackland AFB, Texas - it was the closest facility for medical treatment following the attack on Fort Hood, and given the severity of her injuries, moving her was out of the question. Her mobility is currently limited, due to the electromagnetic breastplate, but G.I. Jane has developed a specialized wheelchair that incorporates the breastplate functions. Visitors might do her some good; her family is present and supportive, but a sign of support from those with whom she's served may help to raise her spirits during this troubled time.

At the request of Scarlett -- Medical, do take it easy on her for relaying the
message -- I took an Osprey to coordinates marked by Coldshot for a bombing run. What I discovered wasn't pretty -- some Autobot spider tank looked like it got ripped up pretty badly, and Coldshot... well, I don't know what her status is. She looked bad, though. Kamakura helped to scramble a medical team for retrieval -- I don't have any significant medical training, and without knowing how bad her injuries really are, I didn't dare try to move her. I'll let Medical make their own report on that.
"I did, however, wait long enough for the Autobots to retrieve their spider-tank companion -- not sure what his name was, but he claimed that he
used to be some sort of cyborg originally before becoming an Autobot. If there's any more information needed, I'll try to provide it, but I didn't have very much to go on last night, and Coldshot was quite unresponsive in that regard, given her energies. Banshee out."

On the evening of the 19th of April, 2023, Agent Morrison called for assistance, as the mission he was on was threatened by Cobra. I have few details on the mission, only knowing it was in Borovia, and that Cobra interrupted it. We lost contact with Agent Morrison, but before we did, he stated his belief that there was a nuclear bent to the mission. I asked Q Force and Daina of the Oktober Guard to send assistance, and Q-Force did respond, sending a team to the area Agent Morrison gave.
I have heard nothing back from Q-Force, or Agent Morrison, and at this time, he is presumed missing, captured, or so far undercover, he cannot respond. I have had no response, as of yet, for my back-channel request for assistance from the Oktober Guard, and at this time, I doubt Daina will respond.
We need to get Eco-Force, and especially Airtight, ready to respond to a possible Nuclear Incident, especially if Cobra has gotten their hands on a Nuclear Device.
I pray Morrison is incorrect in his assumption, but I fear he isn't.

The mild, dare you say... milquetoaste Dr. Huey Lommit is standing before a camera. He's a bit disheveled as he always is, tie and dress shirt, no jacket. Earlier he was wheelchair bound, so that's odd that he's standing so well. He coughs and straightens up, "Ahhh... hello. Um. Look, yes so, I was informed about this crazy heist...It's bad sure, but it's not as bad as it could be. For those of you not in the know, nuclear propagation is generally under very watchful scrutiny. Missile Silos around the world are heavily watched, with constant surveillance. Infrared can pinpoint a missile launch, even from hidden locations.
Most major countries in the world have an active missile defense system, and while I haven't been able to examine the resources here, I'm sure they've got more than standard chance of interception and fratricide of any warhead." He trails off a bit, "Nuclear warheads don't activate midflight, you see. This is what made my project so delicate, because in the program, the design meant to be undetectable by satellite means, through use of a railgun.
Without a smart missle to load the warhead onto, it requires an astronomically complex set of calculations, which was meant to be taken up by the AI Core my wife had created." He looks somber for a moment, "Piloting so far has also been an issue, as there have been several constraints due to feedback loops, and...a lot of boring stuff, but trust me when I say that the situation is not lost. There's plenty more that needs done if they're attempting to hijack this process."

Since Katana is now working for the Joes, would it be possible to have her and her brother put their advanced tech knowledge to work on automating some of the systems on the B-2 and B-1Rs, to minimize required personnel to operate them? They seem the most likely for making good enough automation systems to allow for it. And Katana's mode of transportation, Valkyrie, needs verification on what all it's capable of, so it and Katana can be properly delivered to the right staff beyond R&D. R&D is obviously front and center, of course...

I will not get into the specifics of last night as I was not part of the events that happened but I will be addressing a lot of what is going on in the wake of these events. Ms. Bianca "Battleaxe" Martinez is a personal friend of mine. I enjoy our banther and teasing over paperwork. Over the years, she became not just my professional colleague but a great friend and asset to the community. Honestly, working with her never felt like work. She treated everyone as a human being and never made you feel like you were a burden. I will deeply miss having these interactions with her. A secret that I kept from her that I believe she longago figured out... I was given a Keurig as a Christmas gift by Falcon years ago and I kept it hidden in my desk just so Bianca never felt replaced. I grew suspicious when I noticed the quality of my coffee pods changing to a better grade of coffee but Bianca and I never confronted each other about these events. We continued our coffee exchanges as normal. Even if printed instructions on how to make the Keurig coffee taste better were highlighted and left on my desk with her handwritten comments of what I did wrong.
Bianca was more than just a 'secretary.' Her codename of Battleaxe was not a nickname based on the fact that was a tool to cut through redtape. She was effective with various weapons including the melee weapon as well various levels of vehicles.
Ahndi Nakamea will also be mourned. Our time together was limited. The Nakamea family suffered a previous loss with Nalide. Both sisters were heroes.
These members of the Joes joining the evergrowing member of our ranks that have fallen in the line of work that we do. They will not be forgotten. They will be avenged. We will also have our personnel available for any persons who needs emotional support. I would like to remind our ranks that it okay to not be okay right now. We will mourn our loses, celebrate their lives and achievements, and carry on their missions to honor them.

I have secured a location to operate out of, in Turkey. It is secure. At this time, I have not gotten any civilians willing to talk to me about anything they might have seen regarding the Base that was attacked. I have a couple contacts with Friendly Military Folks, from a DIA (Defensie Intelligence Agency) friend, and hope to speak to them soon.
Whatever hit the base, did not leave tracks that could be followed, so my guess is either Helicopters, Aircraft, or they stuck to paved roads.
I will send more when I know more, otherwise, I have about 24 more hours in country, before the DIA insisits I clear the country.

- April 27 - Final wishes - Battleaxe

In the days after Bianca 'Battleaxe' Martinez' demise, a small handful of people find themselves the recipients of a few things of hers as her recently updated 'In case of' paperwork is located. Not that she had much, her quarters were regulation tidy, personal effects minimum.
Duke is given two small, battered, old boxes, barely 7 inches long, 2 wide, and half an inch thick. Inside each are old style refillable ink pens, the lacquer worn from use over the years, the makers marks nearly worn through as well. Both are fountain style with a set of nibs, one lacquered in blue and black, the other in green and black. One has a small vial of black ink to refill, the other regulation blue and there is a small handwritten note, detailing out how the man likes his coffee, what his favorite snacks are, what little treats perk his moods, and a list of important dates: Birthdays, anniversaries and more. And a single candy bar, of the sort found in late night vending machine raids with a tiny bow on it.
General Hawk is given a small weapons locker containing Bianca's collection of tactical tomahawk battle axes, some well worn from over the years, others newer all covering a range of styles and military nationalities. There's a small handwritten note: "None of the cousins went into the military, I think you're the best person to determine who these should go to for the future, sir. If anything, any of the them in good condition can go to the common weapons pool for training. It has been a pleasure serving you as your Aide all of these years." There is also a detailed snack and beverage preference handwritten list, and a list of dates as well.
Roadblock finds himself given a battered tin filled with small handwritten notecards, recipes written in spanish and english, some dating back to the 1930's and even earlier, the handwriting changing over the years from spidery to neatly written in block letters. There is a typewritten note in it with a few names, addresses and phone numbers, some of her cousins who own restaurants across the US and a hand written invitation to go meet them if he'd like to learn more.
Lifeline finds himself given a small box. In it is an antique rosary and prayerbook, in spanish with a note: "I wish you the best in your pursuit of Chaplain and look forward to serving with you when you've finished the training. These were my great-great grandmothers, and I've faith that you can do this for yourself. One day, I'll happily salute you as The Official Chaplain for our Team." Tucked inside the prayerbook is a recipe for apple empanadas.
And 'Adam DeCobray', after the box is x-rayed, checked over, and signed for by someone through that front company he gave to the woman he got into a mild fender bender with, finds a gift wrapped in Christmas paper with a small note: "Saw this and had to get it. Christmas is a while off and you'd said that work picked up so no time for an actual project car. This one's small enough I hope you can get a laugh out of. Just don't terrorize your secretaries with it. We don't like it and we do run the world - power of paperwork." Inside is an HPI RS4 Sport 3 1969 Mustang RTR-X High performance RC Car, already put together. And a small recipe card for green chili tamales.
Left to her successor for her position is both a digital tablet, with mark-ups on all the most commonly used protocols tagged in the file structure, and a handwritten diary of sorts, listing out 'How to survive being in the Joes as a paperwork monkey.' Rule #1: If you don't know - fake it with a smile. Never let anyone know that you have no idea. They sense a crack, they'll go after it with mortar fire.'

This is a gentle reminder that the Physical Fitness Assessment -- the same one that had to be passed in order to qualify for the Joe team -- is now reassessed annually. I see a lot of channel chatter lately about going out and eating junk food. LET ME REMIND YOU that those who fail to requalify are taken off activty duty and placed into a remedial program until such time as they're able to pass the test. Which is why I STRESS that you should make time to utilize the Pit Training Room. This is not only for group training, but it is expected that you make time for physical fitness and use the machines provided in that room.
It goes without saying that IT IS EXPECTED that you will pass this test. A lot of lives around the world depend upon our readiness to face the enemy. And a large part of that readiness is physical fitness to get the job done. Please be ready. ****NOTE!! This memorandum applies to Ninja Force, however, the criticism that goes with certain members of the Joes avoiding their training sessions does not apply to them as they have an excellent track record of consistently passing the fitness test.****

After the rescue mission on the 26th of April, I stayed behind in Turkey. I spent 48 hours trying to track down information on who might have been responsible for the attack on the base there. I learned very little.
I do not think more time in country would have garnered more Intelligence. I can sum up what I learned in one sentance.
A Paramilitary unit of some kind attacked the base, and none of the locals saw any vehicle or personnel with a Cobra Log.
On my way back from Tureky, I stopped in San Fransico, to check in with a known Cobra Operative, Storm Shadow, to see if he would tell me if Cobra, more specifically, if he was involved in the attack, and he claims he was not involved. While I can not verify this, I tend believe him.
So for now, I have to classify the attack as having been made by forces: UNKNOWN
At this time, I am going to bury myself in Intelligence reports, and see if we had any hint of a potential threat. I will also be taking on, at least temporarily, some of the paperwork that normally was completed by Battleaxe.

This perhaps explains why I have been unable to contact Daina, of the Oktober Guard. I am running a search on General Kreiger, to put together a background file on him. I've heard many things about him, but I want to verify what I think I know, before I write up a full report.
I included Wisp on this report, as Storm Shadow did ask me to include her, as he promised her he would let her know anything he found out.

Earlier tonight I was planning to meet up with friends of mine at the Pasadena Convention Center. It was a costume event, so I was late meeting up with them because I was making last minute adjustments to my regalia. Unfortunately, that meant I arrived just in time to witness Snake-Eyes stab Storm Shadow in the back. I wasn’t there for the beginning of the altercation - it looked more like a performance or play fighting before the attack.
I don’t know why Snake-Eyes would do this, although other ninja there that leaped to defend him said that Storm Shadow had disgraced the clan and did not deserve to be its master. I don’t know who these acolytes are - I didn’t recognize any of their voices from Storm Shadow’s dojo, and of course their faces were masked. If Snake-Eyes has been training other ninja to take over the Arashikage clan, I wasn’t aware of it until now.
I know Storm Shadow has sometimes been an enemy of G.I. Joe, but he has fought with us as well. He was trying to get away from Cobra. I don’t understand why Snake-Eyes would kill him now. His followers said there was no honor in being a ninja. Snake-Eyes certainly showed no honor tonight. If possible, I would like leave to travel to Japan and deliver the news personally to Storm Shadow’s grandmother. She deserves to know what happened to her grandson.

It took three of us to restrain her and escort her to the brig. I gathered that she was running on adrenaline. I highly recommend that Psyche-Out or someone of that caliber talk with her. I will also talk to my team about being a little more sensitive about field operations. We will need someone from Command to take her into their Chain of Custody as we cannot currently release her.

This concerns Storm Shadow; however, it isn't a medical examination or an autopsy, as I didn't have time to conduct either of those things out in the field with the county law enforcement on their way. Immediately following the stabbing and before the authorities arrived, I had time to do a very cursory evaluation of the wound sustained by Storm Shadow. In my opinion, he was killed by a professional assassin. The angle of the stab was such that it went straight through his back and directly through the heart, killing him instantly. I noticed a strange substance around the periphery of the wound, and I collected some of it to put it through the analyzer.
Once back at base, I tested the substance, and it came back as positive for potassium cyanide, a highly toxic substance that would have killed him in minutes had the stab not hit its mark.

After no one had reported hearing from kamakura, I was able to trace his Communications Device to this Alleyway. *Inserted Coordinates for an Alley about 2 blocks from the Pasadena Convention Center*
Greathawk and I investigated, and all signs indicate Kamakura was taken by someone. I need or Computer experts to get us all Street Camera footage of the area, any Footage that shows anything entering or leaving that alley.
I have to assume this is related to the murder of Storm Shadow, as reports indicate that Kamakura was chasing the murderer. I am declaring Kamakura Missing in Action.

"Alright, we crunched a bunch of data and numbers from the Turkiye incident. Please be warned that some of the photos that will be displayed will be censored, but it still may cause triggers."
A photo shows of the initial breech, "Standard door entry. C-4 breeching charge set up, two man entry. G.I. Joe agent 'Battleaxe' just happened to be passing through, and broke the initial breech before riot shields could be raised. Fire was exchanged. Battleaxe fell, and was moved over. This is important, it signifies that the objective was not Joe agents. As the troops moved past her, she pulled herself up to the alarm, and activated it. While gunfire was exchanged from this PMC to staff and civilian agents, not unlike myself, the panic rooms used for their purpose. The PMC moved straight towards the server farm."
Agent White Hat appears on screen, "They knew exactly where to hit. If you haven't already figured it out on your own, there was plenty of inside information given. "From here the PMC stripped two servers, and removed shelves of permanent memory called 'blades', and began to secure the area. This is where it gets bad....As the team prepared to demo the server farm, they captured one lone rookie...and well. You all know what happened there. But the WHY of it is interesting." Footage is almost entirely blurred out, except for one of the soldiers who has removed his helmet. The footage isn't great, but he looks DEEPLY scarred, like he was recently in a deadly fire. He speaks towards the blurr that must've been Pvt Nakamea. "We think that after his...savage attack, he instructed her on how to hold the wound to lessen bleeding out. I believe he was intending on the Joes finding her when they did in order to help make good the escape. The bomb may've been set for this timing as well, as they could've detonated it at any point after their egress."
She continues, "Weaponry was not fully uniform, which isn't unexpected in a PMC, Israeli made arms, United States arms, standard loadout with class 4 body armor, and heavy breeching shields. There's two dozen PMCs that could easily fit this bill. We're looking to isolate activities to help identify this one, already there's petitioning to Turkiye to release any footage they may have. I understood that some recon tracking had occurred afterwards, and together I'm confident we can track down the group responsible within the week, sooner if Turkiye allows us full access."

Concerning the lab analysis of the bio stains on Kamakura's 'Green Ranger' costume, obtained from the Pasadena Convention Center area.
The stains from the upper area of the costume were identifiable as blood from Kamakura himself, with a 1 in 100 billion probability of being someone else's. The positive takeaway is that the stains indicate a relatively small injury. It is *extremely* unlikely that he sustained a fatal injury with that amount of bleed-out. There was bio from at least one and possibly two other individuals on the costume's fabric, but not quite enough to do a full bioanalysis on them. They identify as non-matched to Kamakura's bio profile, though, so I would surmise that points toward an involuntary apprehension.
Also noteworthy is a sizable burn patch on the upper portion of the costume, the pattern of which is consistent with a stun gun.
With this in mind, I believe we should assume that Kamakura is worth more alive to his captors than dead, and plan our actions accordingly.

We are going to need to continue our search for Snake-Eyes as we are going on a 7+ without him reporting in or responding to any of what has been asked for him to explain the actions on May 1, 2023. Since Snake-Eyes and Scarlett both have had relationships with each other, we do not believe that having her involved would be beneficial to herself and the search. Snake-Eyes is considered to be armed and dangerous at this point in time. If you see him, do not engage. Call it in. Additionally, some of our Ninja Force members have been called in to be readily available to assist in this situation.
If I may be as bold to offer, I would recommend that the Sergeant Major continue her valuable research with finding the guilty parties involved with the deaths of Private Nakamea and Battleaxe. We are going 2 weeks out with no solid leads. Based on her amazing track record, I believe that her experience and take-no-gruff attitude should net the yield we need to bring those down. Please assemble a team to handle this investigation. Once the Russian Operation has been resolved, I plan on supporting this as well. Additionally, the Russian Operation will need to be addressed as soon as possible. Limelight's on the screen. "Been looking through the footage of the convention murder. Now, we had three enemy elements in that area, someone that may or may not have been Snake-Eyes, a group of cosplayers in purple that were working together, and a figure in a more ornate masked cosplay. I've noted this last figure's sole action was to traditionally note the murder. Its a ceremonial move of some kind, though I'm not an expert on Japanese cultures. What is the most interesting element here is that the purple cosplayers were taken aback by the stabbing. They were caught off guard by the timing of it if nothing else. Nothing specifically determines that the masked cosplayer was working with the others, he also fled moments after the strike was made. At the moment, my belief is that there were two operations running simultaneously, the Snake-Eyes character and the masked man were one, and the purple clad cosplayers were the other."

Kamakura is resting in the Pit Infirmary in guarded condition. He has moderate malnutrition, moderate to severe dehydration, and has a number of infected wounds, the worst of which is on his back. He also has PTSD as well as non-responsive anisocoria (in his case, the left pupil is slower to react to light and stimuli than the right). The latter points toward neurological damage or even a TBI (traumatic brain injury), but I have to do further testing to confirm it.
When he was retrieved, I suspected he could have remnants of other drugs in his system from his captors. This, I was able to confirm with a blood test. His blood came back positive for trace amounts of sodium penathol, as well as trace amounts of barbituates, sedatives, and even a small amount of fentanyl.
Due to the sensitive nature of Kamakura's case, I am requesting MPs to be stationed at the Infirmary doors until he is well enough to discharge.

Yesterday, I received information on a credible threat -- a phone located inside the Infirmary was sending, or attempting to send, text messages to a known Cobra network.
After reporting this to Scarlett, we took this information to Jensen in Cybersecurity, and he confirmed that this was indeed the case.
Scarlett and I went to confront the owner of the phone, who had since moved from the Infirmary area to the Mess Hall on 4. It turned out to be Selena Greathawk, who denied sending any texts on her phone and refused to hand over the phone for inspection, citing privacy concerns and a very genuine concern that we might try to steal the proprietary technology from her world's cellular device. At some point, she panicked and pulled her subspace armor on, then her forcefield came up and slammed into Scarlett, causing a concussion. Selena, at this point still in a panic, told me that she /did/ want to willingly give up her phone but that her subspace armor worked in tandem with her vital signs, and until they came down, she wouldn't be able to retract her armor.
The three of us then took the lift up to the Infirmary. Once there, Selena had calmed enough to retract her armor, and then with her permission, I hit her with a tranq-dart. It took extra amounts of tranquilizer to truly knock her unconscious.
So the takeaway is this:
1) Scarlett's in the Infirmary, and it is 100% my fault, as if I had not asked for her assistance personally she wouldn't be injured.
2) Selena Greathawk is currently the prime suspect in the breach; however, Kamakura could have also gotten hold of the phone, so both of them are looking equally guilty until one of them can be ruled out somehow.
3) If someone needs to be blamed for what happened and how it happened, you know where to find me.

I am heading back on to my mission. Thanks to Lifeline's training, I was able to perform a blood transfusion on myself. I had previously kept a current supply as a precaution.
In regards to my injuries? I walked into a mess between Neo-Nazis, cartels, Yakuza, and some others. Apparently, there's a shift in the crime world and it's routed to something more sinister. Some of the American groups were trying to set up an alliance but I walked in at the wrong time of their dealings. I am returning against the recommendation of others but I am aware as I am fine. Broken rib and a blood transfusion are same-day outpatient activities. Being shot at was something new. Fortunately my armor absorbed most of the impact. You don't have to agree with my methods but my results often yield the promised results. I did return with a HISS tank when no one else was able to.
There are reports of the local gangs in America being wiped off the table and something is definitely on the horizon. I understand that others are content with spending time in the Mess Hall and appreciating a new flavor of coffee. I can appreciate that. I was trained for something different and this is my area of expertise. I am going to try to work with a retired Cobra operative as well as a current Cobra operative. Both have been in contact with me before 'Snake-Eyes' reasoned it was now important to kill the greatest ninja that ever lived.
Additionally, if there are questions or concerns about someone trying to access a Cobra Network, I can assure you that will never be my intentions. For starters, their uniforms often lack character.

I infiltrated this building, and got to the Computer Servers. Using a bank account provided by my Intelligence Contact, I have discovered a Company we need to look into. Ground Zeroes LTD. I am not yet certain if they are the ones who paid the PMC, or the PMC themselves. I would like our Computer experts to find every scrape of information on that company.
This has gotten us another step closer to finding the scum that killed our friends, and bringing them to Justice.

I am currently flying one of the last F-117A Nighthawks that remains flight worthy. I think it may be time to retire her, as finding replacement parts is becoming more difficult. As such, I am requesting that we order an additional XP-26 Skiystriker MK II, which is the Stealth variant of the XP-21F. I know some of our F-25 Lightining II's have Stealth Capabilities, but the XP-26 has the latest technology. For now, I am not advocating updating the entire wing of F-35's or XP-21F's to the Xp-26. but we do require a few more Stealth Capable jets in service, especially as Cobra has pinged my Nighthawk upon occassion, and tracked it across Cobra Unity.
I will fill out whatever paperwork is needed to get them, but I am not yet sure what paperwork that is.

I was flying a routine mission over Gulf of Mexico, just watching Cobra Island from afar. I started to get Overheating warnings from the left side engine of my F-117A Nighthawk. I immediately looked for the closest base to set down, to have it checked out, and if possible, repaired. MacDill Air Force Base was the closest friendly Air Base. So I set down there.
After landing, I post flighted the jet, and got out. MacDill tower said they would send someone out to my jet, as soon as they could get out there, but that it might be awhile. So I waited with the Jet, as it was not a High Security base, and there are still some things about the F-117A that is classified.
While I was awaiting the Repair team, I was attacked by Zarana, I think it was. I am not sure where she came from, but suddenly, she was there. I put out an immediate radio call for help. I than tried to hold Zarana off, until Base Security or a Response team could arrive.
I did not do a good job, and I likely need to take a refresher Hand-to-Hand course.
After slicing me with a knife, and leaving me holding the wound closed, Zarana stole something from the inside of the F-117A, and than set Demolition Charges. She blew the Jet up, destroying it. On her way out, she kicked me in the head, knocking me unconcious.
I awoke here, in the Pit, at the Medical Facility.

Dad! This is Meggan and seriously without any tricks. I can verify by what you asked of me right after a certain 'BBQ Incident.' Right on the mark. Sean/Kamakura is not right. He confirmed it on the Ramen run. He's talking weird shit about how he is really a Cobra operative by the name of Takedown/Throwdown/Showdown/Downtown or something like that. He claims that Cobra helped him reawaken who he really is. Some 'Fred' or Crimson Guard. The story is bananas as anything. Something about how Cobra made it apparent that he was supposed to follow his father's footsteps. He then mentioned a lot about Snake-Eyes being the disgraced master - which is perculiar. Snake-Eyes would have known about the convention because Tommy, Sean, and I tried to bait him to be the Black Ranger. I am wondering if Snake-Eyes is work for Cobra and behind all this. Snake-Eyes wanted his protege to be available. That also means we can't trust Scarlett even more.
Right now, I have Sean in my car. We are heading to the dojo. He's asleep. I'm trying to stall for time so you can get the Pit to raise the alert status while we get a plan in action. To play along and keep Sean from attacking, I told him I am a Cobra operative that worked directly for Storm Shadow and Major Bludd. I used the 'Kitsune' name that Storm Shadow gave me. Sadly, Tommy can keep that secret and I believe Major Bludd would play along as he's retired. Sean used Selena's phone to contact Cobra. I don't know how I keep getting Cobra operatives to tell me their secrets but it keeps happening. I'm going to need you to reach out to Interrogator because I can't reach him. He might know what's going on.
Please keep tracking me by my car's GPS, my cellphone, and Fitbit watch. I'm going to also keep using my credit cards to track where I am. I am scared. If you go on my workstation at the medical bay - click the app called 'Gabbi Tuft Fitness' - It's not what you'd think it is. It's my emergency tracking protocols. Passwords for all my tracking are 'P1NK13PI3!'
If I am not able to be recovered after all of this, please know that I really appreciated all you did for me and how you helped make me a better person even if I teased you too many times. Concealer discovered that Kamakura was, in fact, the security leak. The exact message she sent me I would be happy to show in a debriefing. At any rate, today she messaged me indicating that she felt she was in danger in his presence, so I used her GPS tracking information to locate them near Escalante. While Concealer distracted Kamakura, I hit him with a tranquilizer dart, and we loaded him up in Concealer's car to drive back to the Pit. On the way back there he woke up, and began fighting us, using some very fowl language and not behaving in any way like the man we all know. He very nearly escaped, but with some physical persistence, we got him subdued and brigged.
Currently, he is in the Brig. I have him hooked up to a sedative drip, straitjacket, bedpan and catheter to deter future attempts at escape. With the evidence I've been given, Selena can likely be cleared. Kamakura's been tampered with, and we're just fortunate that he didn't escape today.

It appears that an MP went missing for punching out after guard-duty. We assumed that the MP must have missed his sign out but after a check-in, it appears that Kamakura has broken out of the brig and shoved an MP into his former cell. MP Officer Collins was found knocked-out and in the restraints put on to Kamakura. Collins' unform and other articles of clothing were missing. It would appear that Kamakura swapped places with his victim and left.
The security issue seems to be due to a strain on our grid. We have recently added in some new contractors who have additional requirements for their assets to work and charge. Also the Teslas in the Motorpool are causing brownouts. Please note that we will be updating our grid again.

"Yesterday, I received word that Kamakura was staying at the Arishakage Dojo in San Francisco, and that he was in his right mind and amenable to a possible surrender. When I arrived there, Tomas, the new co-owner of the dojo, was there, as was Kamakura -- behaving very much like the Sean we know -- and Alex, a/k/a Interrogator. Alex dominated the conversation because he was attempting to convince Tomas that member of his clan have been mentally tampered with by Dr. Mindbender."
"Well, if anything is known about Alex, is he isn't very skilled in the diplomacy department. So he persists. Wearing out his welcome quickly. Tomas is being very clear that he does not want to talk about mind control or anything else with him. So what does he do? Well, he's Alex, so he doubles down. Riling him up about it even more."
"And then, he does something so strange, I'm not sure if I can describe it. He takes a number of unknown pharmaceuticals, then begins concentrating, and...manages to hurt Tomas without touching him at /all/. I would surmise it was some sort of mental or even psychic attack. I treated Tomas for minor injuries sustained in the fight, and tried to reassure the man that I wanted to help him and had nothing to do with Alex's reasons for being there. - June 1 - Observations And Requisition Request - Lifeline
I've made several trips to the Arishakage Clan Dojo in recent days, collecting data points on everything from the type of laundry soap the clan uses to the ingredients in their kitchen cupboard...all in an attempt to rule out ANY possibility that their seizures, frequent nosebleeds, and headaches are caused by an environmental element.
Both the new co-owner, Tomas, and Kamakura are experiencing these symptoms now to some degree. Kamakura seems to have some level of self-awareness that his symptoms are NOT natural; however, Tomas is a bit of a Doubting Tomas, if you'll pardon the reference. He believes it's some sort of illness or syndrome, and he has given significant pushback to the idea that there's mental tampering occurring. Because of this, when I visit the dojo, I refer to it as an illness or syndrome so I can have their full cooperation. So far, it's been working very well, and I have established a very good working relationship with Tomas.
What I've been able to learn from the data points gathered is that the episodes of nosebleeds, seizures, syncope and headaches are *not* random, but they fit a particular pattern. When the topic at hand turns to revenge, the incident at the cosplay convention that killed Storm Shadow, Snake-Eyes...the name 'Throwdown' in reference to Sean...anything along those lines, THAT is when the symptoms are most likely to occur. I do believe there is a direct correlation between these auditory cues and the clan's symptoms. While there is no physical evidence of tampering, I believe we should assume that the mental tampering is happening around the clock.
With these things in mind, I would like to make the following requisition order: 1) Both Tomas and Sean are AT RISK, and I believe that their lives are in danger. If their conditions deteriorate, I would like to be able to have them taken to David Grant USAF Medical Center in Fairfield for treatment and for their own security. An unsecure civilian hospital is NOT equipped to deal with their problem. 2) A cybersecurity expert to scan the dojo for electronic transmissions. If Sean contacted a known Cobra Network while in the Pit, he is probably still in contact with whomever is doing this to him despite his denials to the contrary. We need to try and track that signal down, and identify its source. 3) If Kamakura is amenable to arrest, and by all accounts he has been cooperative in recent days, then we need a SECURE place to hold him. Even if it has to be built by scratch. I don't have the personal capability of tagging him, bringing him in and keeping him secure. I need an engineer's assistance to build a ninja-proof enclosure.

Duke's recovery is going to be a long road ahead of him. The first bits of treatment are helping along with the genetic therapy thanks to Greathawk and Falcon both being matching donors. Greathawk's cells are able to regenerate and help heal Duke a tad faster than expected. Unfortunately, he will need more time to recover as the infection is deep inside him. Luckily, I have been preparing for such an event and I have all we need to keep Duke with us.
Additionally, Falcon attempted to flirt and caught Greathawk off-guard which resulted in adding on an additional medical complication. Falcon will be recovering here as well with Greathawk. An understanding has been approached and both are here to help Duke come back to us whole.
Due to the security of this unique situation, I will be unable to disclose further details.
Finally, Duke said he will be assigning some additional details to our staff shortly. At this time, he is recovering for the most recent transfusion and was advised to not send orders until the pain medications aren't impairing him.

June 11 - Report: Overwatch of Arashikage Dojo[]
Arrived in San Francisco, Thursday, June 8th. Made way to Arashikagi dojo's general location and secured a vantage point for overwatch of the establishment. Nothing unusual observed. Tomas Arashikagi left premises in company of bodyguards and has not been spotted returning.
Incident of note: during overwatch, observed Kamakura during a medical episode. Due to presence of Lifeline on scene, did not immediately intervene. Continued observing scene until it was clear situation required potential intervention. Established contact with Lifeline and made decision to engage and help on-site at dojo. Kamakura did not recognize me despite our having worked together in the past. Did not seem fully aware of his surroundings. Further observation showed he remained at the dojo for the rest of the night. No further instances observed.
Maintained observation post until June 10, 2023. Returned to Pit for debrief and regrouping. Will potentially head back to site upon return of Tomas Arashikage to dojo, unless otherwise advised. Low-Light.

I apologize for the lateness of this report. Last week, I received an emailed invitation from Tango Pacific Imaging to attend a one-day conference at their Las Vegas HQ on this previous Saturday. TPI has been at the bleeding edge of developments in post-4th Generation thermal imaging and their recent developments in both cooled and uncooled infrared detectors was of particular interest. Also, they have no known connections to Extensive Enterprises, MARS, Inc, or known Cobra shell companies.
While at the hotel, I placed a delivery order for food using the Deliver2U app. When it became obvious that my delivery was delayed beyond normal expectations, I reached out to the driver without success. Because the application showed the driver was within a block of my location and had been stationary for over 15 minutes, I went to investigate and/or offer assistance as necessary. Toward this end, I retrieved my tire iron from my truck. I was also in possession of my personal side arm due to the dubious nature of the hotel's location.
I located the driver's car near a local veterinary clinic. The driver was on the ground behind the car, dead from a gunshot wound to the head. Noises from within the clinic indicated the suspect was still in the area. Being on site and in a position to apprehend the suspect, I approached, ready to engage.
Suspect, since identified by the DEA as "Eddie Skeeve" was in the act of looting the clinic's dispensary, specifically taking ketamine. I attempted to bring the suspect in but was unsuccessful. Suspect escaped in the driver's car, but without the ketamine. I contacted local law enforcement immediately after the incident and made a full report; I am continuing to cooperate with their investigation.

From certain things I read, I decide it was best to put off Pakistan, temporarily, and investigate something else.
Tomas Arashikage and Thomas Arashikage are the same person, somehow. I confronted him in San Fransico, and after prolonged conversation, he begged me to kill him.
I agreed to do so, as he wished it to protect his family. However, instead of killing him, I knocked him out, and brought him back to the Pit. He is currently in Medical, under HEAVY guard.
He is to be treated for his head wound, from me hitting him in the head with the pommel of my katana to knock him. He is than to be moved to the Brig, and Lifeline and Psyche-Out will hopefully be better able to make sense of the situation.
I do request Ninja Force be on hand to help keep an eye on Storm Shadow, and to take turns guarding him closely. At least until things are clearer.

Tomas Arishikage is our guest in the Infirmary. He has a severe infection and is running a high fever. My plan is to bolster his immune system, keep him hydrated, and flush him out with strong IV antibiotics.
I took a dermal sample of DNA from Tomas for extensive testing, which should return conclusive results shortly. Additionally, I am evaluating him for Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, as he is exhibiting signs of the physical wear associated with mental trauma. If you visit him, please keep in mind that he's not well, and is having to deal with the duality of carrying two sets of memories. Be kind and don't stress him, thank you.

- June 23 - Tomas DNA Lab Analysis - Lifeline
With the better sample, more conclusive DNA testing was able to be done. The DNA collected from Tomas is a 100% match to Thomas Arishikage, which is to say they are genetically identical human beings. Analysis of the telomeres revealed they are long, which is never the case with synthoid replicas, and is a hallmark of the cloning process.
No one is to disclose this information in any way to Tomas, as he is currently in a fragile state of mind, and I don't want to cause irrepairable damage by dropping this bombshell on him too soon. This information is to remain confidential, to our personnel alone.

We received word tonight from Greathawk that what looked in description somewhat similar to another timeline's Dr. Steen was in San Fransicso for unknown reasons. She wound up finding him and being engaged in combat, at which point I rushed Kamakura to the scene and dropped him off to help her. I had to land before I got back to base however, and pick up an Osprey upon reports that Greathawk was injured and needed medical evac immediately. Thankfully the situaiton happened mostly in one parking lot, so hover capable proved very helpful with both. As for what totally happened, they can report more on that than me, Kama carried Greathawk into the Osprey and I flew them back to base to get better medical than the greenshirt EMT I took along.

From the notes I have been able to collect, he and a team had been assigned out there due to rumors of Cobra activity. I went ahead and started the paperwork on the two KIA and okayed an authorization for them to be routed to a local mil-hospital for holding so final documents could be consulted by Command after a quick talk with Scarlett while she had a break in her comm silence. Low-Light has been returned to the pit and remanded to the custody of the on-duty medical team. Morphine was administered before take-off due to the nature of his injuries. Wisp got us there and back again in short order, mid-flight re-fueling went off without a hitch.

- July 8 - Report on New Jersey Firefight - Low-Light

On 7 July 2023, at approximately 1100 local PITT time, received orders to report to Ft. Dix. Low-level chatter had been received about a possible Cobra attack on one of several sites located on the East Coast in the New York/New Jersey area. I was sent to provide overwatch over Thorlabs in New Jersey, near the Pequest River area.
Accompanied by Greenshirt units, I set up a hide and began observing the Thorlabs campus for signs of potential Cobra activity. Signs appeared with full-fledged attack by Overkill and several BATs on the campus's manufacturing building. Greenshirts engaged with the enemy while I remained in overwatch position.
During fight, our troops encountered a Cobra sniper. Triangulating based on the sniper's shots allowed me to neutralize them as a threat - techniques observed lead me to suspect that sniper was the Cobra known as Artemis.
Other ranking Cobra troops identified on scene include Interrogator who appeared to be leading the charge. Based on evidence gathered after the incident, Cobra was looking for and obtained mirrors. What purpose these will be used for is as of this time unknown.
Additionally, I encountered a Cobra operative who is not familiar to me using a weapon I am likewise unfamiliar with. #-1 FUNCTION (included is a description of barghest and his alien-tech weapon) NOT FOUND Should we capture this device, I would be interested in learning more about its specifications.
During the fight, I was able to neutralize the Cobra sniper, but not before I was struck with return fire. I was also able to strike Barghest, debilitating him prior to Cobra's retreat from area in a highly modified Sky Serpent.
While Cobra made their retreat, I called in requesting medevac for casualties. Also reported the two KIA. Scarlett delegated retrieval to Greathawk, who along with Wisp facilitated the medevac. I did not engage further with the enemy due to potential conflict with accepted rules of civilized warfare re: evacuation of casualties.
Per Lifeline, I am off active duty for the next 72 hours, provided no complications arise. I have been instructed I am free to move about the Pitt with the special precautions of avoiding heavy lifting, weight-bearing exercises and sparring for one week.

- July 24 - Report on Waffle House Incident - Low-Light

I was off-base at the local Waffle House, field-testing the conceal carry rig and weapon I was planning to use as part of a planned sting operation intended to bring Eddie Skeeve into custody. While I was there, Eddie Skeeve entered the establishment. He did not recognize me, but instead made his way to a seat and began speaking with a local transient. During their conversation, Skeeve mentioned that his motorcycle - see attached photographs - had sustained damage due to faulty repairs. He mentioned the name Witwicky as the responsible individual. No first name given.
During this time, Contractor Greathawk arrived at the establishment. She also was not noticed by Skeeve. She joined me at my table and we discussed what action we should take. Determining that our best option would be to get Skeeve out of the building, thus ensuring the safety of the civilians in the restaurant. Greathawk volunteered to distract Skeeve while I left the building to take up a position outside.
Once outside, I took several pictures of Skeeve's motorcycle, including the license plate. While I was trying to decide my next move, Greathawk brought Skeeve out of the building. They engaged in conversation, during which time Skeeve handed Greathawk approximately $500 which has been sent for forensic examination along with other evidence from the scene.
I once again attempted to apprehend Skeeve, but was unfortunately unsuccessful despite shooting out the rear tire of his motorcycle. After returning fire, Skeeve then attempted to steal my personal vehicle as it was convenient to his needs. He smashed the driver's side window with a pair of brass knuckles without bothering to ascertain whether the door was locked - it was not. I managed to prevent Skeeve from absconding with my personal vehicle, but Skeeve did manage to steal a Honda Civic belonging to one of the Waffle House servers.
Contractor Greathawk and myself fully cooperated with the Garfield County Sheriff's deputies who arrived to take statements and gather forensic evidence. Contractor Greathawk also spoke with Rufus, the transient who had been speaking with Skeeve. From him, she learned that Skeeve has been in the Escalante area for about a week and has been working as a street doctor, selling medical treatment for cash. He also informed Rufus that he has found "Something in the desert" that will make him rich. Greathawk arranged potential future contact with Rufus should he have further information and/or contact with Skeeve.
While Skeeve has escaped, there are several positive outcomes - for one, local LEO has been made aware of Skeeve's presence and are willing to share intelligence with us. For the second, we have a local source on the ground in Rufus. Third, and perhaps most important, there were no civilian casualties and both myself and Greathawk managed to survive the encounter unscathed.

Continuing my research on Tomas Arashikage's DNA sample, I've made another unexpected discovery. Clones typically have short to average telomeres, however, his are quite long, unusually so. When I studied his DNA beside that of several samples from random Joes, there was a similarity I hadn't counted on: the lengthy telomeres.
So long as he takes the same supplemental regimen that we have been taking for some years, he, like Cobra and like our own team, will live a very long, extended life. Normally I wouldn't conclude that for a clone, as their cells typically have some unavoidable imperfections, but Tomas' DNA shows an atypical vigor and this leads me to believe that his development on a cellular level may have included the youth formula.

I am writing to provide a comprehensive update on the medical condition of Duke, who is currently under intense medical care because of an attack and subsequent infection by an alien entity known as the Dire Wraith.
As of the latest assessment, Duke's condition remains critical. He sustained severe injuries during the initial encounter with the Dire Wraith, including significant trauma to multiple organ systems. The infection caused by the alien entity has further complicated his recovery, as the Dire Wraith's physiology and pathogenic properties are not fully understood.
The medical team has been working around the clock to stabilize Commander Duke's condition. Limelight is on screen looking nonplussed, despite the bullet holes in her white faux fur top hat. "NATO had reported some strange sonar blips up north, so this was my first trip up to the Artic Circle. Not a fan. Team Alliteration (That's myself, Lifeline, and Low-Light) and Wisp moved to investigate. We went to reconnoiter with an independent researching station that had refurbished an oil rig up there and found Cobra agents.
"They...they brutally murdered some of the workers there. We moved to engage." She balks a bit, "There were a lot of them. Those robot BATs all over the place. I didn't get a good chance to tell exactly what was going on because they spotted us early. Wisp was gravely injured early on, and it was a good thing Lifeline was on hand. Low-Light was engaged and cruelly hurt as well. I saw mostly nameless troopers but one of my main targets, given his Cockney accent was identified as Barghest. Lots of energy weapons out there too. I provided a screen so we could fall back...not much more we could do, sorry." She gives a helpless shrug.

As some may know, I own a Home on the Platte River in Gretna, Nebraska. I left the Pit, to head there, as it is time for late Summer Maintenance there. This was supposed to be a few days off from worrying about Cobra, Ninjas, or Private Military Companies. However, it would appear that Cobra had other plans, or at the very least, the Dreadnoks did. Not long after I had gotten there, Zarana showed up and launched an RPG round at me, destroying my car (Which inside had my issued laptop, and a few weapons issued to me, the most important being one of the XK-1 Power Crossbows I use).
I am not sure if she knew I was going to be there, but after investigation, many explosives were found buried around the property, so I must hypothesize that she was there to plant traps for me. This is another example of why the Security breach that occurred when Cobra infiltrated the Pit, and stole some of our personnel records, could be so costly.
After Zarana destroyed my car, from which I was barely able to escape, we engaged in combat. I sustained only minor injuries, a blow to the shoulder, and a slash on my arm from her razor-sharp knife. She, however, was forced to retreat, after I shot her, stabbed her a few times, and engaged in hand-to-hand combat with her. She escaped by using a smoke grenade to lay down cover for herself.
After she escaped, I called the Local Law Enforcement Agency, and they sent out an Officer to take a report. I then spent the weekend interacting with the ATF Bomb Disposal Unit, and Homeland Security's Counter-Terrorism Unit.
I have convinced Homeland Security to allow the Joes to handle the matter, as the attacker was Cobra, or at least, Cobra Funded.
I urge all the Joes to be vigilant when going home, and to continue to keep a close eye on family.

I’ve taken the night shift to watch over our troops while they recover from this weekend’s attack, and I have something strange to report. SSG Low-Light used a device given to him by Dr. Psyche-Out to help him sleep after being wounded in the Arctic. Low-Light set the device up, put it on and proceeded to sleep soundly throughout the night. He woke up successfully and normally for medication and vitals checks, but then proceeded to go right back to sleep. On his own. Without any complaint or pushback.
From what I read in this chart, this is not usual behavior for SSG Low-Light, so I wanted to be sure to note the success. Whatever the small sonic device Dr. Psyche-Out gave him does, it seems to be working. I’ll continue to monitor Low-Light and the other patients throughout the night.

Selena Greathawk was evacuated from Japan in critical condition following an encounter with a Cobra agent on Tuesday. She had significant crushing injuries to her chest, numerous contusions over her entire body including both eyes, and a grazing shot to her left femur. I took her into surgery at 0700 hours to check for internal bleeding as well as perform bullet and shrapnel removal. Surgery completed succesfully at 1015 hours; no complications. I almost am having trouble beliveing I am about to suggest this, but, with the recent change to Storm Shadow's mental faculties, and the fact that the body his mind is in, is not that of the Original Thomas Arashikage, I am contemplating the potential of recruiting Storm Shadow, A.K.A. Tomas Arashikage, into the G.I. Joe team.
Before anyone asks, no I have not been replaced with a Synthoid, a Clone, or some other imposter. I know I have likely been one of the people most against any reconciliation with Storm Shadow, however, he could be a great assest to the Joes. In terms of Intelligence he can provide on Cobra, the knowledge he has of Cobra tactics and High Command's thinking patterns, and he is a dangerous fighter. He is no longer under the control of Cobra's Brainwave Scanner. He was a Joe before, and only went back to Cobra because of the Mind Control.
I have not discussed this idea with him, as I am not willing to do that, without at least a primliminary approval of Hawk. However, I think it is something that should be discussed.

- September 11 - Bikini Atoll Disturbance - Chameleon

Yesterday we started receiving reports of a disturbance at Bikini Atoll. With others on assignment or occupied, I took a Sharc and investigated the reports. What I found is troubling to say the least. There were Cobra agents in the ocean beneath the atoll, I moved in after they departed to run checks on the area, and apparently there's a concentration of heavily irradiated water gathered between the nuclear tests and the time that's past since them. It's a considerable concentration, the radiation readings were high enough I couldn't stick around very long unfortunately. The way they left, it didn't appear that they'd taken anything, just moved around and looked at it, and left. The water seemed to be the main thing they were looking at , I tried to take as many readings as I could before having to depart due to potential radiation exposure.

General Hawk received a hand written invitation for him and friends of his choosing (OOC: open to all joes!) as guests for an Art Gala in San Francisco. The Art Society is supporting two charities with the grand gala opening of their latest exhibit - Art and Culture of the Samurai: 800 years of Evolution. This years charity support is ?Swords to Plowshares?, an organization that aids homeless veterans in the Bay Area in combination with the SF Homeless Project. (These are both irl charities.) The invitation would have been shared out.
There is a written letter, hand lettered on heavy paper, tell-tale brush marks showing that this was written not with a pen nib but an actual tiny brush. Included with the written letter is the Galas own printer invitation on blacks and white with a pop of red, lettering faintly gilded over a faded ink drawing.

As for a certain someone named Alan, he's mysteriously vanished, and I have no idea if I accidentally scared him off. Life's a rollercoaster, isn't it?
Now, let's get something straight - I'm not using a "gaydar" or any other gadget to determine anyone's identity or orientation. People's identities are theirs to share when they feel comfortable doing so. And let's face it, trying to decipher someone's gender or sexuality in our line of work, where we've got Tiger Force, Eco-Warriors, and outfits that make the Village People look hetero, is like trying to solve a Rubik's Cube in the dark. Yesterday evening at approximately 2000 hours, I was in the training room on the bench press machine, with greenshirt Michael Stephens spotting me like he had many times before. On this particular evening he seemed different, however, and without warning, he stopped spotting me in mid-lift, and the bar ended up falling and landing on my neck. Stephens continued to act erratic and wild, without apparent cause. It took the cooperation of several Joes to finally detain him. The details of the capture of Stephens are a little sketchy on my end, as I was brought to the infirmary. But suffice it to say, he was successfully captured and detained in a team effort.
My own condition is stable. I sustained an injury to my larynx that prevents me from speaking, but it's a temporary condition caused by inflammation, and I'm expected to make a full recovery. As for Stephens, his condition is still being evaluated at this time. He's been placed into a medically induced coma until we can determine if his extreme personality switch was organic in nature, or if it had a more nefarious cause. Personal note: I've known Michael Stephens for 2 years, and he's been my spotter for most of that time. He's never given me any indication that he was capable of the reckless behaviors he exhibited last night.

To All Officers, Command Staff, Staff, and Contracted Employees,
I want to begin this message by addressing the situation we find ourselves in. It is with heavy heart that I must inform you that the Dire-Wraith threat has reached our very doorstep; they are still here, on Earth. This is not a drill, and we cannot underestimate the gravity of this situation. I have witnessed them firsthand in Russia.
To ensure the safety and integrity of our team, Dr. David 'Ozone' Kunitz will be working alongside Steel Brigade Troopers to conduct health screenings and verify the identity of all personnel. Genetic testing will be mandatory, and any objections will result in immediate quarantine. We cannot afford to take any risks with infiltrators in our ranks.
While the Private Military Company issue is significant, it must take a backseat to the Dire-Wraith scenario. The safety of our world depends on our unity in the face of this extraterrestrial menace. Scarlett will continue to lead our efforts against them, with Limelight and Concealer assigned to support her.
Cobra remains a persistent threat that we cannot ignore. Be aware that we have concerns some of our own have grown complacent in dealing with Cobra. Interrogator is NOT an ally; he remains on a watchlist due to his Cobra ties. Major Bludd, however, has retired from Cobra and earned a measure of trust, though we will remain vigilant.
Prototype and Greathawk of the Earth Defense Command (EDC) are our primary assets against Decepticon threats. They can be deployed against Cobra, but only as a last resort. Nebulos remains an active concern, with Red Spot and others maintaining operations. Sci-Fi, in our R&D division, will lead efforts to enhance the security of the Pit and our Nebulos stronghold.
Wraith and Wisp should focus on air surveillance, with Prototype potentially assigned for a third shift. 'Phoenix' will join the Ninja Force to assist with training; his extensive experience will be invaluable. Lifeline will temporarily step down as he recovers, with Doc taking his place and Andrew Frankel as her second, closely monitored regarding internet use. Hacker and Jill S. Morelli will lead a team to monitor all communications to maintain our security. Steel Brigade will increase security patrols on the base. Flint remains on leave, and Hawk is tied up with official matters. Beachhead, myself, and Low-Light will rotate to lead Night Force missions on different nights.
This is a critical juncture, and our diligence will determine our survival. Stay vigilant, stay prepared, and stay true to the mission. Failure is not an option.

RE: Cobra Chernobyl Incursion
On the evening of October 11, 2023, myself, Chameleon, and Greathawk were in the Czech Republic, to re-establish contact with Daina Janack. While meeting with her, I received several reports from sources in the area, that Cobra was doing something in Ukraine, in the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone. I was able to convince Daina to provide us a Helicopter to get to the area, and investigate, along with permission from Poland, Slovakia, and Ukraine to enter their air space.
When we arrived, we discovered a large force of Cobra operating in the Exclusion Zone. I landed us in a parking lot, so we could investigate further, and a Greenshirt Company was called in, from a Base in Poland. We engaged Cobra, driving off a force of Barghest, Metal-Head, Zarana, and Interrogator, along with their support crew of B.A.T.'s and various styles of Vipers. Injuries on our side were mostly minor. We are not sure why Cobra was there, and I am asking Daina to look into things on that side of the world.
The reason I have made sure to bring this to the Attention of Medical, is that Chameleon, Greathawk, and I have all been exposed to whatever Radiation is in the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone, although I did ensure we all took the Standard Anti-Radiation Pills. It is likely we will need to be monitored by Medical for at least a little bit. I have instructed the medical team at the Greenshirt Staging Area to do what is necesary for the Greenshirt Company that joined us.
I must also add, the interest Cobra has in Nuclear Disaster or Nuclear Testing sites is concerning. Chernobyl and Bikini Atoll? Why do they show such interest in these locations? If anyone in R&D can figure that out, it might give us the advantage in trying to ascertain Cobra's next potential target.

Oct 31 - Report on Raid at Genetika Genetika Ular Berbisa[]
A verbal report from Low-Light:
"Reporting in because Spirit is currently being treated for injuries sustained during the operation.
"Spirit had been in Malang, Indonesia, investigating a series of mysterious disappearances in the city. In the few cases where bodies were found, they were identifiable only by dental records. The attacks seemed to be random and because witness reports were confused and contradictory - and mentioned giant frog monsters - the local authorities ignored them. Spirit, on the other hand, didn't and managed to find a link between the victims: every one of them had been to a local genetics testing lab - Genetika Ular Berbisa - over the course of the last year.
"So, Spirit assembled a couple of teams - one for infiltration to find evidence linking them to the murders and the other to pull the infiltrators out when things went pear-shaped. Spirit led the infiltration team which included myself, Temera and Lifeline, while General Hawk stayed outside with the rescue team.
Our infiltration was attempted at 0700 local time, with Temera ensuring our entrance into the facility. Inside, the place was your standard medical office waiting room, but Temera noticed something cold and off about the place. In her words, it smelled wrong, alien. And while we were inside, I heard something approaching us, but I couldn't identify it. Might have been what eventually attacked us, might not.
Spirit was about to open a second, internal door when naturally all hell broke loose. He managed to narrowly avoid being overrun when the door exploded outwards and a bunch of... things burst out. There were four or five of them, all big, speckled, green and ugly with beady little yellow eyes and nasty sharp pointy teeth and claws.
Long story short, we found ourselves under attack by the road crew of "Hell Comes to Frogtown." Temera also detected the presence of a woman, who it turned out was the creator of the creatures. Temera, Spirit, and I fought the creatures; we did hear the woman order the largest of the creatures to get Temera or at least part of her so that she could harvest Temera's genetic material. They were not successful. We managed to destroy the creatures, though Spirit sustained extensive injuries. I was wounded when the last of the creatures we were fighting fell on me; Temera managed to rescue me, pulling the creature off me.
I don't know Exactly how it happened but the leader of the creatures and the scientist who'd created them were blown apart by a booby trap set by persons unknown. I recommend we send some Greenshirts in to coordinate with local authorities to search the lab site.

It appears I have passed the first recruitment test, and I will be moving on to the next phase of my infiltration of the Ground Zero PMC.
I should be in position within the next few days, so I would like the Quick Reaction Force on standby. As soon as I know the base, I am going to is the location we want, or if I am discovered as an undercover agent, I will trigger my Emergency Beacon. Since there are two options on the beacon, I have two potential messages I can send. The standard 'I need rescue' code will be sent if I successfully infiltrate Ground Zero, and am at the correct base. The 'Immediate Rescue Needed' code will be if I fail in my infiltration and need you to come and get me.

At approximately 1800, Local Pit Time, Satellites received an Emergency Beacon from Scarlett. It is of the immediate rescue variety. With her message from Yesterday, I am tracking the moving beacon, so a Response can be sent to rescue her.
The initial location was somewhere in Pakistan, but after the first hour, it began moving. At this time, it has stopped, somewhere in the Indian Ocean, but with the cloud cover over the location, I am unable to get any kind of Recon Photos. I will continue to attempt to penetrate the cloud cover.
I am trying to keep Mr. Creepy out of the loop on this one, as I am sure we would prefer he not go running off on his own to try and stage a rescue, but I leave that up to all of you...

Dec 13 - AAR: San Francisco - 'Aleksandra'[]
Some of you might have noticed we have a new ‘guest’ inside the brig. She claims her name is ‘Aleksandra’, and while she adamantly denies any ties to a certain global terrorist organization, Kamakura positively identified her as the woman responsible for kidnapping and brainwashing him to believe he was a Cobra operative by the name of ‘Throwdown’. I can also confirm encountering her before on a prior mission, aiding the Night Creepers.
Anyhow, I encountered her near the Arashikage Dojo in San Francisco, and found her presence there more than a bit suspicious. I decided to attempt to intercept her, and Kamakura arrived to assist. Immediately after he arrived, Aleksandra spoke some verbal cues to Kamakura, and triggered him temporarily into his Cobra Operative persona, Throwdown. Things were a bit dicey then, but thankfully, Low-Light had been at the dojo nearby and came by to help even out the odds.
We all tangled for a bit: Low-Light fought Kamakura, and I allowed Aleksandra to take out her energy on trying to bring me down. Eventually, I got her subdued and knocked her out with tranquilizer, and at this point, Kamakura was still trying to shake off the mind control but he wasn’t quite out of the woods yet, so I carried Aleksandra down an alleyway and got ahold of Wisp on the commlink. She and Law travelled in the Osprey to San Francisco, and successfully took the prisoner into custody.
I remained in San Francisco to check on Low-Light and Kamakura, the latter of which had reverted back to his regular personality. We stayed long enough to search for Selena Greathawk, who unfortunately went missing on the same evening across town at the Crazy Horse under mysterious circumstances. We were unable to locate her, and she remains missing at this time. Current sitrep: Low-Light and I sustained minor injuries, as did Kamakura, and Aleksandra was more moderately injured. She is a patient-prisoner, confined to bed for the moment, so I have a medical team tending to her hourly in the brig. If she is to be interrogated, please let my team know ahead of time so we can prepare accordingly.

I trust this message finds you well. I am writing to address a matter of utmost urgency and concern that has come to my attention. It pertains to Specialist Meggan 'Concealer' Briar and her recent activities within our ranks. It has been brought to my notice that Concealer has consistently possessed knowledge of the whereabouts of our team members immediately before their capture by Cobra forces. Notable instances include the recent incidents involving Selena 'Greathawk' and Kamakura. It is disconcerting that she seems to be conveniently in the know, raising suspicions about her involvement. The Pit’s location has also been compromised during his initial time at our base.
Furthermore, an alarming incident involving Storm Shadow has intensified my concerns. Concealer, through seemingly orchestrated circumstances, ensured that Storm Shadow was publicly exposed in an area where he was disarmed and vulnerable. Regrettably, Cobra capitalized on this vulnerability, resulting in the assassination of Storm Shadow. The suspicious nature of this event cannot be overlooked, and it demands a thorough investigation. This also was when Kamakura was easily captured.
Besides having a friendship with Storm Shadow prior to his death, I have also received intel indicating that Concealer may have established clandestine alliances with known Cobra operatives, including Major Bludd, Interrogator, and the Baroness. These connections raise serious questions about her loyalty to the G.I. Joe team. Her consistent contact with Cobra members is not only highly irregular but also suspiciously convenient.
While there is currently no direct evidence linking Concealer to Cobra activities, I believe it is our duty to initiate a routine safety protocol and thoroughly investigate her connections and recent actions. We cannot afford to underestimate the potential threat she may pose to the security and integrity of the G.I. Joe team. I urge each of you to prioritize this investigation promptly and discreetly. Our mission success and the safety of our team depend on our ability to root out any potential security risks within our ranks. I will be coordinating closely with our intelligence and security teams to gather additional information on Concealer. Your cooperation and discretion in this matter are of the utmost importance. I also do not need Scarlett going on that she was right all along.
Additionally, Snake-Eyes has not fully returned with a final statement about the events that lead to Storm Shadow’s death and Kamakura’s capture. This raises my concern that there might be further security risks at play.

December 30 - Information on Selena Greathawk - Low-Light[]
On the evening of December 29th, approximately 2343 local time, San Francisco, I received a phone call from an unknown number - the caller ID on my phone showed only zeros and gave no sign of where the call originated from. I took a chance and answered it, figuring I'd hang up on some robocall or a telemarketer. Instead, I received a message from an individual using a voice distorter but based on context clues, I determined pretty quickly that it was Eddie Skeeve. He contacted me to inform me that Selena Greathawk is alive and well but currently is locked in a Cobra lab. According to Eddie, Cobra doesn't want her dead, they only want her suit's technology and she'll be released once they obtain the information they're looking for.
Eddie sent a picture of Selena as a proof of life. I've attached it to this report and I am willing to turn over my phone to the techs for any further forensics. (Attachment: A dark, grainy picture of Sel behind bars, eating what appears to be a fruitcake; EXIF data has been edited out of the picture, but a timestamp for 12/28/2023 is valid). In my personal opinion, based on previous encounters with Eddie I think we can trust that the picture is real. And that Eddie believes Cobra only wants Selena's tech and won't hurt her if they get it. He told me he passed on this information because he likes Selena - in a 'game recognizes game' kind of way. He's not willing to do anything to help her escape, but that fits with what I know of Eddie.
I've informed Kamakura that Selena is alive and relatively well and passed the information contained in this report to Lifeline and Storm Shadow. My personal recommendation is we should try to get as much information out of the picture as we can; even if the location data's gone, maybe we can figure out something based on the time stamp or the layout of the cell. Limelight suggested studying Selena's body language, maybe she's sending a message that way.

Jan 15 - AAR Report: New Orleans, LA[]
Last night, I was contacted by one of Sebastian Bludd's 'people' in regards to the whereabouts of Selena Greathawk. Full disclosure: I had spoken to Bludd a few evenings ago and divulged to him that Greathawk was still missing. Due to his continued cooperation with us, I was hoping he might be able to pull a few strings and assist us in getting her released.
Myself and Low-Light went to New Orleans to an address given to us by Bludd's contact. The address turned out to be a dive bar. We went inside and observed Zarana and Selena inside the bar, behaving somewhat romantically to one another. Preparing for a possible fight, we confronted them. Oddly, Zarana left the scene without incident, and we were able to evacuate Selena successfully.
Selena Greathawk is currently inside the Pit Infirmary. She is allowed visitation. She is not restrained; however, I have her under 24-hour guard in case she has been programmed by the Brainwave Scanner. I am currently conducting a battery of laboratory and imaging examinations on Selena and will report on that when results are available. When we rescued her, she had the typical 'scrambled egg brain' symptoms of someone who has undergone the Brainwave Scanner. She was also intoxicated and may have had drugs in her system as well.
Do not overwhelm the patient with emotional questions, she is likely experiencing extreme confusion. Thank you for this consideration.

It is an unhappy Roadblock that shows up giving a report. He doesn't look injured, not in body, but the deep-seated frown on his face bespeaks a deeper injury. Pride perhaps.
"Reportin' in after the all-call to East Africa. It was.. not good. Lt. Col Richter gave the team a heads up that there were reports of suspicious activity akin to what was last seen in North Korea. Low-Light, Temera, and myself jumped a speed route up n over, meeting a Tomahawk there to go in on the aid request." He shakes his head. "It was a hot mess. We stayed in the air once we could get an eye on what was happening. A.. hospital'd been targeted an' it looked like that stuff that Cobra used back in 2018 on the east coast. Turning people grey, dead, attacking one another, swarmin' up and going after anything that moved. Even the dead weren't free of it, they'd get up and keep going."
He frowns deeper, then shakes his head again, voice low, "Nothin' we could do but contain what we could till the locals and NATO got involved with it. Temera took a hit, Low-light got hit with -somethin- that messed up his vocabulary, and a lil leg injury on top of it all. Kept us in the air to work on containment until there was a flyover of the area that.. burned th' place down. Part of the hospital was just vaporized. Once the locals and NATO got in and secured the area, we signed out and off, coming back to The Pit." He stares at the camera, long-stare of a man who didn't want to see that again. Ever. "Heard on the comms that there was some other action going on, NATO dropped comms that something was also going on at a mine but there was no way our team could cover the infected and get there too. Those people, civilians, they were just.. used as a distraction, that stuff deployed just.. just. Folks, we've got to come up with some kindof counter. Right now, you get hit with it, you get -bit- or injured by the infected, you're a goner. Only thing we could do was.. take'em down as fast as we could to give the healthy time to get away."

Jan 23 - Medical Report: Selena Greathawk[]
The patient, Selena Greathawk, originally presented with moderate to severe malnutrition, bruising, disorientation, with poor hygiene and depressive affect. She has been gradually improving, gaining weight and is ready for her physical rehabilitation to begin. In place of regular PT, she will be one-on-one with a therapist for at least twenty-four sessions to get her muscle mass back where it needs to be. Unfortunately, it's become apparent that her armored suit is missing. We can surmise that COBRA took it from her by force.
MOOD: Her depression is improving. She has a good appetite and voices her wishes to get out of the infirmary. I am personally quite concerned with a problem that's cropped up in the time she's been back here with us. It's become obvious that she was put through the brainwave scanner while in COBRA captivity, because she now carries imprinted memories of others who have been inside the scanner, including (but not limited to) Storm Shadow and Snake-Eyes. I've witnessed her speaking in Japanese, a language she doesn't know, and this week she had a sleepwalk to Snake-Eyes' quarters, drawn there by his own memories in her mind. Unsure if this is a temporary problem, or if the memory transfer is permanent. But it's extremely concerning, beyond the scope of my expertise. Recommend Spirit and-or Psyche-Out observe her symptoms and consult. Currently I have a guard on her 24/7 in the event she changes personalities like Kamakura did. But so far, Greathawk has demonstrated a propensity to wander in her sleep, and not much else.

Concealer, please investigate Agkistrodon Biological Research Company as I believe that the company might be related to Cobra and Cesspool. Cesspool has been way too quiet lately. I highly doubt the Toxic Offender has gone legit which makes me suspect he is doing better at hiding his underground dealings. I've heard in the past that he is moving into the biological organism games which given Wisp and Greathawk's past year, I can assume a lot more is happening than we know. Do not engage until granted authority by Flint, Hawk, or myself.
Lifeline and Storm Shadow, please check into anything that may have Scalpel's fingerprints on it. I have received some recent Intel reports that suggested some Cartel dealings gone wrong are connected to him as well as a recent trend of medical supplies warehouses having small shipments going missing. I am not sure what the Mediviper(s) are up to but I question if Cobra is gearing up for something with this influx of medical raids. Do not engage until granted authority by Flint, Hawk, or myself.
Kamakura, Roadblock, and Low-Light, please check in with Scarlett to see if we can get a handle on the East Africa hospital hotzone. Following the trends of Cobra's past events, Cesspool's biological experiments, Scalpel's medical supply raids, and now East Africa, I'm going to assume these events might not be as random as we assume.
Prototype and Greathawk, I am asking the both of you to re-establish the EDC but more of a Joe controlled division. Consider that you are building from the ground up and trying to mirror what you are most familiar with first. I will have as much info as what our EDC currently has but I want the EDC to be ready to handle either a Decepticon attack or a Cobra front. I know that Prototype is reluctant to fight other humans but considering recent events, I need you to get over that.
Sci-Fi, focus on Nebulos and potentially helping get the EDC equipment and gear from the NebTech we have access to as I need you to figure out what Prototype and Greathawk are lacking from their tech to make things work on our Earth. Additionally, I need HiQ, Doc, or Robo-Joe to assess Greathawk and see if the NebTech can help her with her armored suit replacement or potential upgrade.

Doing something basic research, Agkistrodon refers to a type of snake that fits the motive of Cobra and Cesspool with their shell businesses. There are a few locations where Agkistrodon is set up. The top ten locations are these:

I removed the blockage, and successfully placed an arterial stent. The procedure was a success, and Dr. Steen is now recuperating in the Infirmary recovery room. He is doing very well and is expected to make a full recovery. Commendations go to SSgt. MacBride for his quick actions when he saw that Steen had early symptoms of a heart attack. Let this be a reminder that those of us who are taking the youth formula, it is not a cure-all for common conditions. Men in their 60's, especially those who have a family history of cardiac problems, should be seen for a stress test and EKG 12-lead at least once per year.

Based on the radio clatter last night, it sounds like an entity I encountered once before is here in your reality. Back where I came from, there was a Decepticon behemoth that was able to transform from like a stronghold into a scorpion and then into like a titan of a mech. His name wasn't too original considering his scorpion mode. He went by the name of Scorponok. He was bonded with a Nebulan tyrant of the name Zarak the Black. Pretty ruthless fellow. Combined with that armor that is a Decepticon giant.
I was friends with a Nebulon named Duros who was bonded with an Autobot called Headhead. I am trying to remember if anything from that can help with what you are up against on Nebulos. I am think that we need to prevent this bonding from happening if we want to stop this from getting to that level. I would wager that Zarak or his equivalent in this reality. If he reactivates Scorponok and binds to him, he might look to partner with Megatron's Decepticon army or even worse... Liege Maximo.
As for handling Scorponok, his citadel form is pretty as air defense but it is pretty stationary. His scorpion mode I think is relatively fast considering the stammering size but it's not as agile and offers a larger target if you are striking from above. His tail is like a lightening cannon while his pinchers can pretty much crush anything. His robot mode has is like his scorpion mode but he can use weapons and is more agile.
So, random question. Are nukes a possibility if we can get the scorpion to take a bait? Or can we get an assassination attempt on Zarak? I don't think our Autobot friends will be of much use right now so maybe we can leave them out of the equation for figuring out how we can use lethal force. Also, can the Kodiak do some magic on Nebulos?

March 23 - Dakota Report: 2024-03-23 []
Greathawk here. Reporting in for the rescue team.
Request came in through back channels for a combined rescue effort in the Badlands in North Dakota. A civilian party of 6 was reported as possibly lost inside the closed park. Due to the... status of the individuals, a rescue crew was quickly coordinated with Chameleon piloting an Osprey, Evac riding out as medical support, Low-Light as the experienced Cold-weather personnel and Limelight as additional support. From Doctors Without Borders we had additional medical support from Dr. Steen.
Assisting from the Autobots were First Aid and Solstice. First Aid is a well known member of the Protectobots, a group that has dedicated themselves to many major and minor Search and Rescue efforts here on Earth.
Weather conditions deteriorated but the team was successful in collecting the 6 members of the Devereaux family that had gotten stuck on one of the shorter trails. No injuries were reported for the civilians and the rescue party suffered mostly bruises and one case of a broken coccyx.
Thank you all for jumping into this joint effort with the Autobots. It is greatly appreciated.

Storm Shadow's quite angry face pops onto the screen, apparently reporting in from his phone based on the image size. It appears that he's on a plane by the curved ceiling and small windows in the background.
"Katana, Wisp, and I traveled to Japan to investigate some disorder reported there. As a... family invitation. Upon arrival at one of the older shrine-temples that my family has sponsored and trained others at for centuries, we were met by Master Hikage."
Storm Shadow squints, panning the phone to show Katana resting on a folded out bed in... an airplane. "We are on our way back after the adventure, Katana took a nasty hit by what had taken over the site, one of those... ahh. Dire Wraiths that have been reported before. She has had medical triage and her, Wisp, and myself are arriving back to the Pit shortly for further evaluation. There appears to have been no curse passed by the -thing- that had tainted the shrine. My family is handling a full cleansing of the site."
The anger fades into a flash of mourning, head bowing, tone softer, "The students and other lay-persons that were assigned there per last reporting did not... there... Their families and next of kin will be properly notified and remains properly cremated for interment. All three of us were touched by that -thing- but only Miss Katana suffered a break in skin, clawed deeply. All of us will of course report in for full medical scan and evaluations as per the protocols for possible exposure. If a hazmat team would meet and escort us to the infirmary, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much."

I hate to say it, but we have been lax in running drills. Full Drills where we have to scramble to respond to a situation with speed, and firepower. I am almost afraid to see what our reaction time would be to an Emergancy situation happening right outside the Base would be, let alone one happening halfway across the country.
With that being said, expect to see Combat Deployment Drills start up. We will start these in phases, with each section drilling together, before implementing a team wide drill.

In my place, the Pentagon has assigned Brigadier General Philip Rey to assist General Hawk with administrative duties.
As a fill-in for the irreplaceable Battleaxe, he is bringing his own aide-de-camp, Colonel Friday, who will be assisting with paperwork and acting as a go-between with the Pentagon. She is as skilled in fighting Cobra as she is at battling red tape, so she should be an asset to G.I. Joe at many levels. Captain Greathawk will remain as a junior Aide-De-Camp for General Hawk and coordinate team efforts with Colonel Friday.
Before I go, I would like to announce promotions for those who have been specially awarded by their superiors for outstanding performance over the last year: Lifeline, Low-Light, Kamakura, Concealer, and Wisp.
Others of you will receive promotions after I speak with you personally, or due to the slight restructuring of the Chain of Command following General Rey's joining the G.I. Joe team.
There are other announcements to make, but I may leave those to Hawk or Rey as I find my way out the door. It has been an honor to serve with you all, and I can say without a doubt you would have made my father, General Lawrence Flagg, extremely proud in how you've carried on his legacy.

Storm Shadow was picked up in Seattle, Washington under one of the aliases he has registered for use with civilian work after being seen in an altercation with a man who had targeted a Loomis truck. He went willingly with the local authorities, causing no difficulties. As the thief was not captured, he was not charged with misdemeanor assault. However, a deeper investigation is being pursued due to the unknown man causing the deaths of several of the truck guards. He was held for 24 hours before being released with no charges after JAG got into contact and got his report of the situation.
Texted in report: Man calling himself Snake-Eyes or 'Jack' stole a money truck after killing the driver, the guards, and a pair of policemen. Attempted physical negotiations to dissuade him. Spent the night visiting Seattle's finest. Coffee was -bad-. More when I get back. A. T.

I ran into someone who looked exactly like Snake-Eyes looked, before his accident, back in the very early days of the team. He sounded just like Snake-Eyes as well. He seemed to have some knowledge of myself, but not enough that I believe he has had the benifit (If you want to call it that) of a session in the BrainWave Scanner. There are a few explanations to explain the knowledge and resembelance this 'man' possesses:
1: This is a clone, much like Tomas Arashikage is of Thomas Arashikage, with extensive BWS Sessions
2: This is a Synthoid, again without the BWS Sessions required for a more accurate portrayal of the target.
3: This person comes from the same 'Reality' that spawned Ebony and Deadline.
Those are the first few ideas that came to mind, while I recover from my encounter with the man.
The actrual incident seems to me, that it was staged. That he came looking for me. I am not sure how he located me, as I rarely go to Seattle, so it might have just been blind luck, but he seemed to be waiting for me, and he came to cause trouble. He pushed and pushed, until he caused my temper to snap, which I will admit, he was able to do easier then most people, likely due to who he looks like, sounds like.
We proceeded to fight, without weapons, in a Seattle Shopping Mall, where, thankfully, Storm Shadow, also was shopping. However, I was knocked out by an explosion from a block of what appeared to be C-4.
When I awoke in whichever hospital Storm Shadow took me to, not too long ago, I was alone, so any further information will need to come from Storm Shadow.

Snake-Eyes(?) - Duplicate of Snake-Eyes - Not much is really known about him, including his name. We know he is on this side, and he is on a crime spree. We do not know why; we do not know with whom he is working.
SyFy - Duplicate of Sci-Fi - Most of his file is Classified. We have him somewhere. That is all I know.
Slip Stream - Duplicate of Slip Stream - We at one time had custody of him, but I have not seen any reports on him in some time. I cannot find any mention of his release, so I assume he is still in Governmental Custody somewhere.
There may be other members of the Otherside G.I. Joe team that have not come to our recent attention, on this side of the dimensional portals. Hello, Joe! This is Colonel Friday. I'm here working with General Rey as his subordinate. My job is to be a liaison between the team, the officers, and the Pentagon and run interference as need be. If there are issues with politics, budget, Congressional Subcommittees, requisitions, and interactions with the Department of Defense, and all the other alphabet agencies that we must work with.
That means I am to be your buffer and interlocutor when it comes to outside the force bureaucratic agencies. I have been working at the Pentagon and Department of Defense for the last six years in the Pentagon's Bureau of Special Forces. I know that things are tough lately and dangerous with the threats of a coming alien invasion, working with Cobra and the Autobots to defend our planet, and dealing with all the other threats to Earth. The last year has been hard with losses, fighting, and everything going on. Speaking as a newcomer here, I would like to have an open forum with the permission of General Hawk to listen to any concerns that all members of the team have. I want to hear your suggestions, your priorities, what things that can be done to help around here, and to keep up morale. I know that I'm not familiar to you beyond my service record, but I'd like to change that. My office is open at any point when I'm present, or you can feel free to corner me when I'm alone.
Further, all ninjas using the ventilation shafts will be expected to pay for use tolls. While the shafts are an expedient method of transit, it increases the amount of maintenance that must be done on them. Therefore, ninja or other personnel using them will be expected to pay for each use. These tolls will be forwarded to the maintenance staff for use as they deem necessary.
Coin booths will be set up at the entrances and exits of all vents and access points. Further, ninjas who switch to coming in via sewer ingress will be expected to handle their own dry-cleaning fees.

I had received Intel Reports that indicated Dreadnok and Cobra Operative Zarana had been sighted in New York City, specifically, a Bar in the Bronx. On Monday, July 22, 2024, I assembled a Squad of Greenshirts, and went to apprehend Zarana.
The Bar, however, was filled with other Dreadnoks, and Zarana was able to escape. We did succeed in taking many other Dreadnok operatives into custody, but I felt chasing Zarana through the streets of New York City would only lead to damage and the potential for civilian casualties.
The Dreadnoks arrested were turned over to the Joe team at Fort Wadsworth.
My team returned to the Pit.
Injuries were sustained, but most were minor.

Sep 21 - Lady Jaye: Cartel Raid[]
Under Major Bulletproof's command, a raid was launched at a facility under the control of one of the Cartels producing pharmaceuticals. The team hit the front while Tunnel Rat infiltrated the facility. Upon our strike we were able to penetrate our way in past moderate resistance where we encountered a stolen armored vehicle and many detonators placed around the facility. Major Bulletproof engaged the commandeered tankette and will be in the medbay for an extended period, and for the official record I will have appended that he does not get to change his codename to 'TankProof' yet.
While there, Interrogator was encountered and helped give first aid to stabilize Bulletproof while the facility was secured. The primary strike team was Bulletproof, Cover Girl, Wisp, and Tunnel Rat. The facility was secured, and some prisoners were taken. The team performed well. Intelligence is given authority to analyse and interrogate and I expect a debrief when they have preliminary reports. These are to be shared with Interrogator.

"Please forgive the timing on this, I've been laid low with a nasty case of influenza this week. On Monday, a team consisting of Lady Jaye, Blowtorch, 2Lt Sideswipe, Low-Light, Mara, and myself were deployed to the Red Sea to assist with the damaged TS Voyager. Upon arrival, we were met by Captain Joshua Freeman, and we began surveying for signs of damage and possible hazard cleanup. It began fairly routine... all guidelines of the ECO Force protocol were followed. I think we were all expecting petroleum, or at the worst, a chemical containment situation due to the earlier attack on the Voyager. But what we found instead was far more shocking.
"As we were conducting the inspection, we were very shortly alerted to the presence of a Cybertronian. He stood at an imposing 6 feet, his white armor adorned with purple camouflage. His blank white face, crowned by a golden visor, bristled with long-range radar sensors. Through his clear chestplate, blue gears and black-and-white circuitry were visible. This Cybertronian informed us that there was 'something crawling up the side of the ship'. At this moment, we became aware that there were innumerable zombie soldiers coming up out of the water and crawling up the side of the ship to get to us. Force was responded to in kind. In the ensuing skirmish, we secured the captain and his sailors below deck. Blowtorch took full advantage of the fact that the zombies were not impervious to fire, and I commend him for his efforts. In fact, I commend everyone who assisted on this mission, as it was far from typical and we did need to safely contain the problem far from civilization."
"What's more, two zombies were captured for further study. They are being held in the locked quarantine room in the back of the infirmary. I probably don't need to say this, but... under no circumstances is anyone below a command rank allowed to access that room. I'm in the process of developing what I hope will become an antivenom for their toxic bite. But until it gets developed, it doesn't exist, so please stay away from that area. A critical concern is Starbolt's refusal to engage against Decepticons. Should a situation arise where G.I. Joe forces are locked in combat with Decepticon threats, Starbolt's lack of engagement could jeopardize operational success and put our comrades at unnecessary risk. How can we ensure that Starbolt's contributions align with the needs of his team when he appears to prioritize his own safety and grievances over broader mission objectives?
On a personal note, I would like to highlight the physiological and psychological toll that operations involving Cybertronians take on human personnel. After each engagement with Decepticons, I am required to report to Lifeline within six hours, even in the absence of injuries. The sheer intensity and adrenaline surge from these encounters demand thorough debriefing and monitoring to ensure operational readiness and mental resilience. I mean, I am not even on that little miracle pill but I am inspired for a good six plus hours and we all know what we’re supposed to do if it lasts six plus hours. I don’t think I am up for having a Cybertronian decide to murder us in our base while we sleep...
Another concern involves the logistical challenges of accommodating Starbolt within the Pit. As a Cybertronian, Starbolt's size, physiology, and repair needs far exceed those of human personnel and equipment. The Pit is optimized for human-scale operations, and while we have advanced technology, it is neither specialized nor sufficient to perform proper diagnostics or repairs on Cybertronian systems. If Starbolt were to sustain damage, the delay in sourcing the necessary expertise or facilities could render him ineffective for critical missions. This raises the question of whether we are equipped to integrate him seamlessly into our operations without significant infrastructure modifications or reliance on external resources, which could compromise both security and efficiency.
Is it suspicious that Starbolt has no qualms in fighting and killing humans but not his own kind that destroyed his own planet and civilization? This selective moral boundary raises serious doubts about his true motivations and allegiance. If Starbolt is willing to engage in combat against human threats like Cobra but refrains from targeting Decepticons... arguably the architects of Cybertron's downfall... it suggests either a deep-seated bias or a self-serving agenda that prioritizes personal vendettas over justice or loyalty. Such behavior not only undermines the principles of teamwork and accountability but also poses a potential liability in missions where human lives are at stake. How can we trust Starbolt to stand with his G.I. Joe comrades when his own past actions suggest a disturbing inconsistency in his willingness to confront threats?
The addition of a Cybertronian with questionable loyalty and focus may compound these challenges for the rest of the team.
While I remain committed to the success of Earth Defense Command and G.I. Joe, I urge caution and thorough deliberation in this matter. We must consider whether the risks posed by Starbolt's potential self-interest and lack of allegiance outweigh the benefits he might bring. Jan 11 - Lady Jaye: Elements Recovery[]
Summary: A team was sent at the request of Doctor Vandermeer to a cave in the Arctic which had crystals that could be used in the production of heavy water. A Cobra mining facility was present as well as a number of Cobra troops, including Major Bludd, Interrogator, and Interrogator's personal craft. Upon deployment we engaged the Cobra troops but were pinned down and had to withdraw into the cave with the crystals.
The cave had the remnants of the mining operation and mechanical units used for it. Upon radioactive and gas exposure, the team was able to repurpose them to punch out of the facility and get extraction with samples of the crystals. Casualty report as follows:

Apologies for disturbing anyone's day, but recently we received a request from Ace. He's been working on outside things and called me in about the 'awakening' at the museum a few months ago, when what looked like something trapped and dead decided to wake up and break free and cause a lot of damage to both the museum and the people in it. The problem is, according to what Ace found, it was not the *only* one of those dug up, apparently, after consulting sources familiar with the matter (Sources that even shocked me initially, suggest you ask him about it). The problem is, if we're not going to have another incident like that, we need to search intel sources available to find out who else was digging and where they might have made off with it. They were apparently intended to be sealed up permanently ages ago but no longer are. So, if we can find that out, it would be very helpful to Ace, that one thing was a problem for everyone there, another along with it could be disastrous if it shows up in an area with a lot of population.

I was asked to provide some basics for the heroes that have yet to do a 'tour of dirty' over on my home planet. Nebulos is generally a green, lush system with temperate climes, with non-standard polar activity, meaning it doesn't have the coldness that Urth has. Its highly agrarian with no animal life. Which is why it was so weird to see so much in the way of 'lifestock' here in your system! Anyway, medically speaking, Humans are advised to stick to their own packaged meals due to the high levels of mercury in the system and low levels of 'proteen' that you all seem to need, on site.
The primary despot of the HIVE is Mo Zarak, an intergalactic businessman who rules literally through tyranny. Those who do not comply are imprisoned or executed. His HIVE has advanced weapons and armor, enough so that even the GI JOE troops here are highly encouraged to participate in 'strike and run' tactics, as human armor is not capable of withstanding the damage. The HIVE troops are almost exclusively foot patrols, though members of the inner circle of the HIVE are able to control agrarian machines as tools of war.
The HIVE's most dangerous power is one called 'cyberkinesis' that allows them to control machines from a distance, This means they can possibly see out of any camera, control any vehicle, and listen in on anything over comms. So the resistance has to deal without these things, using primitive slug throwers, or single-use rockets. Items that don't seem to be able to be controlled by the HIVE members. A lot of this is still unknown as to the extent of their power, but we have seen several cybertronian shells piloted by a Nebulan in a grisly surgery.
You and your people have done tremendous work to help save as many of us as you have, and for that I am forever grateful. I look forward to being able to come back to GI JOE full time, and repay the sacrifice your people have displayed here. I am honestly stunned by the level of commitment to freedom and the care administered to the suffering on my home world. I wish I could do more than say thank you. And I will, together with Urth. Sep 01 - Medical AAR: Classified Field Report[]

The cryptid that was captured is now in a secure room in the infirmary, and I have been running genetic tests on it to determine if Cobra had something to do with it, as I'm able to see the signs of their genetic tampering on the cellular level. Quite surprisingly, I found no evidence of any genetic tampering. Furthermore, the creature is male, and he shares roughly 50% genetic material with Temera/Tamara (Identical DNA for both) and an unknown human male for the other half. What this is suggesting is that one of either Temera's or Tamara's eggs was located in the wild and fertilized.
I've told Temera about this, and she does have some thoughts about training him to be less feral. But I think she's still in the shock phase, clearly upset about this turn of events but willing to move forward with the situation. Considering the complexity of this situation... PLEASE ADVISE. As previously rumored, the Cobra attempt to kidnap Dr. Fujiyama happened last night. I was on scene guarding, and the doctor had several combat androids of his own in testing to counter the BATs that showed up. More concerning is that it seemed a cybertronian of some kind had interest in the doctor as well, two Autobots

Sep 24 - San Francisco[]
Huge credit to the Mirumoto twins for bringing Daisho to the battle in the harbor. It was a losing fight otherwise even with Autobots present. I was there from doing coastal patrol with a SHARC and believe I know how the biplanes felt in King Kong now. Hopelessly undersized, and just waiting to be smashed. I had to land the craft with heavy damage, will see about either temporary fixing or whether it can be hauled back quietly to the Pit.

During the battle, I did wind up bringing out the big guns -- the Gigasmashers, as I call them, since my Guardian and Nova forms are effectively based off the Guyver Bio-Booster Armor anime and manga. (Note: Probably a result of reading that before the Dire Wraith DNA went all wacky with my systems over six years ago, but that's neither here nor there.)
Anyway, it took me several seconds to charge them up, and the blast was spectacular -- enough for Sideswipe to get the kill shot and take off one of the creature's heads. But afterwards... well, I was a bit drained there for a while and had to deactivate my armor for a while before feeling back to normal; well, whatever 'normal' can classify as, in regard to me and my systems. Anyway, thought you all should know. Even with all this, I have some limits.

A Cobra data storage facility was in a ROBAC Industries dump site. It was in the process of being decommissioned so a quick strike force was sent in. The raid team hit it, and we skirmished with the Vipers trying to delete the data. We were able to secure the site in time and download the data chips and evac the area as Cobra sent in airstrikes. The team got out, albeit injured. The data chips have been taken in for decryption and hopefully will give us some useful information about Cobra operations since they didn't have a chance to scrub them.
October 2 - RE: Snakebite Protocol[]

Given increased maintenance issues of the ductwork of the Pit and the increase in workload by engineering staff, and the increasing oversight of Congressional Committees, the toll use for the Ninja Storm group to use the ventilation shafts has been reintroduced. Captain Henshaw and myself went to interview a witness of the attack on Flight 538. A Yamamoto Minerva, daughter of the diplomat Yamamoto Yusaku, spoke with us, and gave us a full accounting. From her description, the bat creature ripped open the top of the plane, and was seeming to be looking for something. Failing to find it, it left without extra destruction. Purple energy / lightning was mentioned by her repeatedly. Its motives at this moment are elusive. Of note, the group were on their way to a science conference. Given creatures and robots always having an interest in science, this avenue remains to be investigated. Hoping to gain access to the Professor shortly.
