Once known as Putter, the extremely old yet wizened Junkion sage, after walking out of the fires of Unicron's forge, he ceased to be Putter and became Plot Device - Herald of Unicron. Being in a completely new body, and a powerful one at that, he pledged his undying loyalty to Unicron and vowed to serve him until his death, as his dreams of being young again have come true. All that ended however when the wool was lifted from his eyes and he saw what his new found power had wrought! Now he uses his unearthly powers and seemingly inexhaustible experience to help his fellow Junkions rebuild their homeworld. He acts like a wizened grandfather who suddenly has a new lease on life. Thinks of everyone as his grandchildren, he's protective and nurturing, and isn't afraid to unleash a grade A ass-whuppin on any youngin' stupid enough to cross him or his family. His new found powers give him the ability to spring important things into motion, but they also leave him vulnerable to many weaknesses.
