- Nacelle is a Decepticon engineer.
He'll shoot you until he's red in the face. And missile launchers.
If you want a Decepticon well-versed in the arts of combat and, well, deception, you should probably call Starscream. Or Soundwave, or someone like that. If, however, you want a Decepticon eager to prove his worth, Nacelle is the guy you should call. Sure, he may not be as good at flying as most of those other guys, and his not-inconsiderable knowledge of Cybertron's history may cause him to get a bit muddled-up once in a while, but at heart, Nacelle just wants to prove he's just as good as some of those more famous Decepticons.
History[]
The Transformers cartoon[]
Nacelle was one of the Decepticon jets on Cybertron four million years ago. He was part of a Decepticon patrol that accosted Autobots Wheeljack and Bumblebee when they came near. The two were able to escape the Decepticons' attacks and plow through the patrol. More than Meets the Eye, Part 1
Wings Universe[]
Nacelle was part of Starscream's science group, HEDRA, working alongside Bitstream and Hotlink. As an Aerodynamics Engineer, he was assigned as the role of lab assistant to Shockwave where he engineered the wing designs used for the second wave of Earth-bound Seekers. He would eventually integrate one of these prototypes into his own body replacing his standard issue wings with a design containing high powered turbines. Nacelle's profile card

MUX continuity[]
In 2012, Nacelle succumbed to the Dweller virus, becoming the thrall of that hellish monster. He recovered after the Dweller was banished to the Space Bridge nexus.
In 2020, Nacelle, Swift Blade, and Vandal were apprehended trying to gain unauthorized access to the Tarn Space Bridge with several cubes of stolen energon. When they were apprehended, they were feverish and incoherent. They were turned over to Shockwave for study and treatment.
In 2022, Nacelle tries to convince the Seekers in Tesarus to declare the polity for Starscream, but before he could succeed, the polity was attacked by Autobots. Giving up, Nacelle returned to Vos.
Rounded up with the other Vosian rebels, Nacelle was eventually cleared to return to duty. He was re-assigned to Operations and returned to Tesarus.
Logs/Posts[]
2022[]
Tesarus
- November 12 - "Reporting to Tesarus" - Nacelle returns to duty in a new division.
2024[]
Ravage
- July 9 - "Mission Report" - Nacelle and Ravage do a reconnaissance flyby of the Autobot defenses in Ibex.
Notes[]
- Nacelle is based upon a Japanese catalog picture that shows the then new second year Decepticon jet wings in different colors attached to unaltered first year Seeker bodies.
- It's been implied by Fun Publications folks that the hidden blue Seeker seen in "More Than Meets The Eye" is meant to be Nacelle even though their colors and build don't entirely match. Any differences could be attributed to alterations upon later taking an Earth form in addition to his own self modifications. [1]
Players[]
Nacelle is played by Bzero.
