Extremely manipulative and cunning, MISTRESS ARMADA is her own double agent. Nothing is beneath her -- so long as the payoffs are good. And not just money -- Lilian Osborne was born rich, though you won't hear that from her. Her ultimate goal is to be right: her cunning makes sure the game is played her way, whether or not anyone knows she is the one pulling the strings. What started out as a punishment turned into a wealth of talent for explosives and behind the scenes indescretions that make her rise behind Cobra lines seemingly inevitable. The only problem will be if she finds what she is looking for when she gets there, or if she will change sides and begin the game anew.
History[]
Canonical/Pre-MUX/Theme History:[]
The daughter of wealthy British bureaucrats, Lilian Osborne was born in Henley-on-Thames in Oxfordshire. Lilian became an incredibly spoiled teenager and was never satisfied with what her parents gave her. When they cut back on her allowance, she simply stole from them. Her father was fed up and sent Lilian to the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst. She took to the military life surprisingly well and graduated with top honors. She moved on to the British Army where she was trained in counter-intelligence and explosive ordnance disposal (EOD). While serving in the army, Lilian had a chance meeting with a charismatic civilian named Alexander McCullen. The young man's tales of the storied history of his family -- the Destro clan -- persuaded Osborne to leave the army and help in his quest to take over his family's arms-dealing business. She soon discovered that Alexander's claims of military experience and underworld connections were exaggerated to say the least, but she stuck with him, believing his plan had merit. Plus, her interest in McCullen was becoming more than just professional.
MUX History:[]
Mistress Armada has used her skills and influence to become a ranking field commander in Destro's MARS forces and shifted her focus to trying to use Alexander and his father against one another for her own benefit. She secretly wished to eliminate the Baroness so she will have more influence in the Destro clan.
When the elder Destro died, Mistress Armada made herself invaluable to Alexander, strengthening her position within MARS.
Alexander McCullen acquired Yatter in October 2022, with McCullen serving as CEO until June 2023, when Lillian Osbourn succeeded him. The platform was rebranded as M on July 23, 2023, and its domain officially shifted to M.com in May 2024. Under McCullen’s ownership, legacy features such as Circles, NFT profile pictures, and pronoun options were removed, while new functions were added, including long-form posts, monetization tools, audio-video calls, job search, integration with MARS’s KEN chatbot, and a subscription-based verification system. McCullen positioned M as a potential "everything app" inspired by WeChat.
Following its rebranding, M has faced ongoing controversy, including the leak of the Yatter Files, the suspension of journalists’ accounts, and restrictions placed on media outlets labeled “state affiliated.” These moves, along with persistent issues of misinformation, hate speech, and antisemitism, have drawn widespread criticism. Even after McCullen stepped down and Osbourn’s resignation in July 2025, M has remained under fire, with MARS responding to accusations by launching lawsuits against watchdog groups such as Media Matters and the Center for Countering Digital Hate.
OOC Notes[]
Inspired by the character in the Devil's Due comic, she has a slightly different history since Alexander never posed as Destro to take over Cobra.
Scrap-Iron is commanding officer of Destro's MARS forces. Mistress Armada is his executive officer.
