Kiko Onishi is the traditional and devoted heart of the Onishi family, though her life is currently marked by profound emotional hardship. As the wife of the perpetually absent Dr. Kenneth Onishi, she has long grown accustomed to managing the household alone, but she now faces an unimaginable crisis without his support. With her son, Koji, recently kidnapped by alien drones, Kiko is forced to endure a mother's worst nightmare in isolation, maintaining a resilient but solitary vigil while waiting for her husband to return and her family to be made whole again.

2001 Robots in Disguise cartoon[]
Kiko and her son got up in the wee hours of the morning to watch her husband appear at the International Scientific Symposium in New York. While she made hot drinks, Koji told her to hurry up. She finished in time to see an alien drone kidnap her son, and promptly dropped the drinks in shock. Battle Protocol!

- Koji's mother is unnamed onscreen in both Car Robots and the Robots in Disguise dub. Her name comes from the dialog script for the English dubbing of "Battle Protocol!".
