The HAVOC (Heavy Articulated Vehicle Ordnance Carrier) is one of the toughest vehicles in the Joes' arsenal. It is a curious sight. With a canopy the operators at the front and taking up much of the portion of that section, it is a surprise to know that it is actually one of the better armored vehicles that can withstand a lot of punishment.

Features[]

The HAVOC is a well armed vehicle. Its main weapons are the dual 75mm cannons located at the sides of the operator's seat. The cannons are recoilless, allowing it to keep moving and firing without missing a beat. A pair of 9mm automatic machine guns in the front supplement the HAVOC's firepower. Should the HAVOC find itself being chased about, it has four Lancer missiles which can be fired from the rear. Fully armed, it has a gross weight of 54 tons. Its powerful 9-liter 900hp twin turbo diesel engine allows it to reach speeds of 40mph.

One of the more interesting features is the HAVOC's ability to release a hovercraft which can act as a backup fighter or reconnaissance vehicle. For a small vehicle, it has a range of 60 miles. Its primary offensive weapons are a pair of 7.62mm machine guns.

History[]

The H.A.V.O.C. was first employed by the G.I. Joe team in 1986.
