GULLY was a champion courier, hauling data across Cybertron, often materials essential to the Autobot war effort. That all changed when the Stunticons managed to trap him and outfox him, and he was nearly scrapped. Only surviving so he'd remember his defeat, he dropped out of life and became a permanent layabout, still quite capable of running or gunning, but impossible to goad into action without being shouted at. A narcissist, pessimist, and philosopher, Gully is no happier unless he's listening to rare Terran music and hanging out by himself, enjoying his self-invoked retirement. As a Pontiac TransAm Firebird, he's capable of speeds of 300 mph, with nitrous oxide tanks allowing him fast bursts of acceleration and sprints assisted by his gyroscopically coordinated shocks. In robot mode, he carries a rail rifle with computer-assisted targeting scope, a buckler shield mounted on his left arm capable of expelling a concussive magnetic wave in close quarters, and can deploy an electrocuting harpoon attached to his body with a length of titanium-alloy chain. An independent data server is located in his body for information he's transferring, which is also the location of his music collection.

Gully dropped out of life decades ago, after a brutal beating at the hands of the Stunticons on Cybertron. He's still a perfectly proficient warrior and Autobot, he just no longer seems to care about winning or losing. Gully is happy listening to rare Terran music, hanging out in a garage or on base, and can only be moved to action if goaded by an authority figure. Despite being incredibly relaxed, he often seems like he has a screw loose, from the sheer laziness of his personal regimen.
