Summary: Starlock goes to scan Spitze, after a paniced talk with Brainstorm the night before, and ends up finding herself befrending the dinobot thanks to a game of Gokarts. Pious Pools - Iacon - Northwest Sector of Cybertron
Spitze is exactly as expected, drinking oil out of one of the smaller of the Pious Pools. Its not 'forbidden' per se, but it is a restricted area down there on the ground floor. The Anklyosaur lifts her head up, oil trickling down her maw, and looks around.
Starlock comes jogging from the medical center, a couple tools in a bag with her as she moves, she looks worried and confused. "Spitze?" She calls as she looks around.
A few stray beams of light reflect Starlock's direction from the curved back of the dinobot. Solar panels and gold and silver, its hard to miss really. She probably heard the call of her name, but seems to be ignoring it as she investigates some of the foliage planted nearby.
Starlock's finials twitch upward as she sees the Anklyosaur and vents out in relief. "There you are, thank goodness." She pants.
She wants to start explaining what has her in a tizzy but.. First she takes a vent. "Are you doing okay? getting used to everything?"
That was a question she hadn't heard before. Her tail swishes side to side a little, apprehensively. Her mouth opens to speak, but quickly, she closes back up and intentionally demures the question by looking aside.
Starlock tilts her helm and lowers her optics, and voice softly. "...Things are crazy around here, and can be pretty lonely, but, everyone here is nice.. even if they can be kinda dipsticks." Starlock says with a roll of her optics.
She then smiles. "I'd like to get to know you more.. You're special, very special.." She'd nod.
Spitze shuffles uneasily, then says "Him Dipstick.". She pauses for a few more moments, "Her Starlock am gokart?"
"Hot Rod?" Starlock asks with amusement. She pauses thinking about that. "Heh, no, I'm a shuttle, and a small bus." She'd nod crossing her arms. "Doctor." She adds.
Spitze snorts, though its impossible to tell if its from frustration or contemplation, and looks aside, "Her Doctor Bus. Him Sideswipe gokart."
"Ahhh, yes, yes he is." Starlock would snicker. "He means well, but Alchemist he's a dumbaft." Starlock says with a chuckle, pinching her nose bridge.
She'd then reach into her bag, and the mini-bot would take out an ener-goodie and hold it out too her. "I wasn't bluffing on the goodies~" She'd smile.
Spitze just blinks blue optics at Starlock, having no response at first. She notices the goodie, but seems disinclined with it, which seems to be a common theme so far. Either ignoring Starlock or perhaps choosing to lead her, Spitze just starts to walk past out of the restricted area. "Am gokart."
Iacon Simulation Center - Iacon
Spitze steps back towards the simulation room, with some familiarity.
Starlock raises a brow as she follows Spitze, wondering what she meant, and follows behind her.
"The sims?" Starlock asks as she follows behind.
Spitze looks back behind her, "Him Optimus freedom being..." She steps up onto the pad, where the 'character select' for the simulator starts up, with Optimus naturally. He declares, "Freedom is the right of all sentient beings." to catchy music. After a few moments, Blurr's next up, and jerks a thumb at himself, "I'm the fastest one there is!"
Starlock tilts her helm, listening and watching, trying to parse what Spitze was trying to communicate. She said she was a gokart, despite... Maybe she was aware she was also carrying imagers Spark casing? It was a thought.
Spitze just looks at Starlock expectantly, her tail moving back and forth. Other characters pop up next from Megatron and Blitzwing to Spike and Bumblebee.
"Been using the sims to figure out whos who around here, huh?" She asks as she steps forward to look at the sims and... Well, she pauses and blinks, why was mario kart.. She'd glance side to side, no, no she was not gonna tell anyone about that, she wanted to see just what that was like in the sims for herself.
So the simulator screen shifts to the gokart game, which seems to get an approving grumble from Spitze. There's even two go-karts there to sit in. Comically, the anklyosaur can not really get into that seat, aside from a foot, with most of her tilted atop it. She grumbles to herself.
Starlock chuckles and walks over, patting her. "Have you tried transforming? Maybe your other mode will be smaller." She suggests. "...Have you not transformed before?" She asks.
Spitze grumbles again, even half-heartedly sneering at Starlock. Still, the gokart game was one of the few things that interested her since she showed up.
The gold and silver anklyosaur stands up, the shell turns around, and the tail detatches into a long two-handed club. A dinobot femme with parts of that heavy shell being worn as armor on the shoulders, back, and legs. The ankylosaur tail has separated and become the counterweight of a long bladed staff with a rather odd looking point to it, in her other hand, the main part of her carapace is used as a shield.
Spitze stomps her feet as she stands up, quite a large femme, with a built in shield, and the tail turns into a large club.
Starlock blinks as she looks at her, and takes a slow breath. "...Um.. Spitze, before we do anything.. Can I tell you why I was looking for you?" She asks, her ridges knitting and her tone becoming dim.
Spitze looks down at the minibot, her gaze slowly going from Starlock to the go-kart. "Me Spitze want to play gokart game." That said, she's not climbing into it.
"I know, don't worry, that can still happen, I just want to be sure you understand whats going on." Starlock nods, trying to bury the creeping anxiety that's finding its way into her voice. Spitze just stands there, silently. An eye ridge goes up though.
Starlock folds her hands behind her. "We think.. you might be carrying a second spark with you, of a friend and.." She'd tilt her helm, looking over Spitze. "I suppose some would suggest she'd count as a parent to you." Starlock can only imagine the SCREAMING that will come from people saying that to Imager, was almost funny, but that was for later, the thoughts would be sad if not. "Because she... fell into the hotspot you came from, and we think it used her energon and living metal to form you, prematurely, why you where a mess when we found you... So.." Starlock knocks on her own chassis.
"Might be protecting her... But I need to check."
Spitze doesn't react to the revelation really, but there is something about her stance since she transformed, that looks a bit more...well, meek than other dinobots. It takes some cajoling, but with the promise of gokarting, she eventually lets you do an exam, with her back in her anklyosaur mode.
Spitze lets out a weak snarl, then falls forward, the shell on her back spins around, and becomes an anklyosaur.
Starlock gently pats Spitze. "Don't you worry, how you where forged maybe scary, but you /both/ deserve to live and be happy despite how horrible things are.. and we're every happy to meet you.. I just also, want you to be able to meet her as well." Starlock explains as she gets out her scanner and works. "She's from Harmonex, likes music, she too is biig with a shield, she's a big ball of nerves, but she is nice.. I think after the initial freak out, she'll be glad to get to know you more." She goes on as she works.
Panels come up on the dinobot as Starlock investigates and takes readings. Originally, Starlock was focusing on Spitze not dying, upon that initial work, but seeing a blue and green swirl of conjoined sparks, its clear to see the conjecture seems accurate. Also, something slips out of the armor panels.
Spitze dropped Harmonex Crystal Necklace.
Starlock knits her brows, hopefully the sparks where not actually merged and could be separated, and it was mostly due to the equipment she had only able to take a surface level scan.
Starlock pauses when she see's the crystal, and carefully picks it up, and looked it over, as she knew she'd been the one to make it into a necklace. Starlock takes a breath and relaxes, imager was safe, nothing was stable, but it would be, considering Spitze's body was stable, and active but it was a relief, they could be separated as Brainstorm said, and Starlock smiles.. and sets the crystal necklace away for later, To give back to Imager.
"Alright, She's there.." She'd smile up at Spitze. "we'll work on getting you two separate later, once everything's stable, for now, take that protector role and keep her safe." Starlock then pauses. "And, Thank you for keeping her safe." she smiles.
"Shall we play now~?" she asks with a grin.
