Born in a remote Inuit village on the Russian side of the Bering Strait, GHOST BEAR learned how to track and hunt in the most unforgiving environment on the face of the planet. An expert long-range rifleman, he is also equally skillful with pistols and knives. Kwinn, the father of GHOST BEAR, was a mercenary in the employ of the Cobra organization when he was killed during a major assault on GI Joe headquarters. GHOST BEAR never learned that his father had switched sides and had teamed up with Snake-Eyes before his death, and so he is still carrying a wrongful grudge against the GI Joe team, and Snake-Eyes in particular.
