  • Sub-Group:
  • Type: OC

Newer isn't always better, but in this case, it is.

Solstice is a light, happy, and full of mischief Autobot in her day-to-day life but in combat a focused warrior comes out with an ancient air of intensity that is at odds with her apparent age. She sometimes seems brash and full of the recklessness of youth, not always delivering her meaning without ruffling the occasional 'feather'. This attitude can cause the occasional 'Newer is better old man' moments but Solstice bounces back from such fracases with all the springiness of the young: Taking her lickings, learning from them, and moving on. Solstice will oft display seemingly random moments of strategic brilliance that appear to be 'leaps of faith' but are in reality a blend of an exceptional tactical skill, an ultra-sophisticated logical center, and a display of her in-depth studies. Unfortunately too much use of 'fuzzy' logic or inexplicable elements in a situation can lead to moments of 'tunnel vision' where she becomes hyper focused on the goal itself as more important than the means, a systemic system lockup, or a moment where the purity of logic overrides her sunny personality.

She transforms into a Koenigsegg CCX, a sports car that has been known to exceed 245 mph, and on the ground there are few non-augmented terran vehicles that can keep up with her. Solstice laughingly refers to herself as a member of the 'regulation right shoulder rocket brigade' when she is not displaying her penchant for close quarters combat with an energy hardened stave. Despite her enjoyment of battle, Solstice does have the intellect and ability to act as a second tier medic in the Autobot ranks, finding a simple peace in soothing damage wrought by the war as she strives to apply knowledge by seeking hands on training.

Call her an old soul in a new frame, Solstice enjoys a good laugh, a good fight and a good time at the end of the day.

Description[]

Orange. Not that safety slag either but a rich, metallic deep orange reminiscent of a sunset. Not that 'Wheelie' orange slag either, this is a color that is custom made down to the polymers interlacing the layers for that always 'wet-look' of a topcoat. And that's just at first glance. Offsetting the brightness is a deeply lacquered chrome here and there, stripes down calves, peeking out of thigh plating cutout for flexibility and ease of movement, showing up as boot-tips, heels and arms. Definitely a car-altmode, what with the door 'wings' jauntily arched up behind, wheels peeking over shoulders and from the back of calves and the headlights perched on top of shoulders like glittering guards. Even down to the smoked 'glass' windshield sloped over the chestplate, beneath which the Autobot emblem peeks here and there when the light strikes it just right, an etching inset into the golden orange hue, thin lines of chrome scintillating like ground mirrors. Not one built for stealth, that's for sure. And she's tall, lanky, without those overtly 'curved' aspects that come to mine when thinking of some of the females of her species. Bright almost-cyan, near polar ice blue optics gleam out of a face that's had the chrome muted to a softer hue of grey, features angular as well, framed with a helm that custom shade, a chevron rising out of her forehead, 'venting' along the sides.

Then Solstice's merry face.

Volunteerin' for th' high speed run t' Stanix with th' things Ratchet can stuff into my subspace. I'll help 'em out till more can be organized an' send an inventory list back so th' next run out can have more targeted support items.

Solstice -out-.

Mar 26 - Report: Stanix Check-In[]

Solstice's face pops onto the screen, optics bright, expression not quite a smile, more of a thoughtful frown.

Made it here. Dropped th' quick load. Oh Ratchet? We miscalculated somwhere in th' volume displacement part of th' sequence, I transformed aaan' everythin' popped right out and went -everwhere-. Good thing we padded stuff with th' reusable cloths. Anyways. Got here, sortof signed in - security issa bit.. yeah. Red'd have fits. Warehouse where they're tryin' t' keep med supplies reminds me of home. An' that's not a good thing. Outdated, vermin infested an' really empty. Made it t what they're usin' as a field clinic, apparently their actual med sites were targets an' now I'm starin at usin' tables outa a abar for triage. Could be worse tho. Still waitin' t' meet whoever's in charge of th' cities med corp an' workin' on basic triage right now.
For th' rapid drops, gonna need field kits type of supplies t' start with for triage an' stabilization: You know th' stuff y' use t' keep someone online till a better medic or supplies comes 'round. Clamps, more med-foam, dissolvable internal ties, filtration kits rigged for energon recyclin' an solvent so I can get somethin' sortof sterile set up. Thinkin' they're at th' point where they're gonna get hit with some sort of plague. Rust or otherwise. I've had my codes and viral updates so I'm good an' I'll keep from stabbin myself with anythin' icky.
Once I meet with whoever's in charge, I'll get their input on what's needed for th' next runs or th' powers can be can determine if a convoy is needed for a solid drop.
Solstice out.
P.S. Great idea Dust Devil! Thanks for th' support!

Apr 04 - Report: Stanix Medical Situation[]

Solstice's merry visage pops onto the screen:

Hey big thanks to Sideswipe an' Kodiak on makin' a run here. Good t' know that 'cons are workin' the roadways so folks should be careful with th' runs here an' back. Also helps with' th refugee traffic plannin. Gettin' settled in, met with th' lead medic-y sort an' I'm working triage and minor things. Where minors uh.. yeah, it's a pretty wide category. Different triage tiers here.

Seems th' bombing during th' peace accords did take out a lot of their usual med-centers - managed to get some folks to go pokin' around in the debris for anything that wasn't blown to bits or already scavenged. Frankly, it's all kinds of fragged up here. Really does remind me of home in a slaggy sort of way. Pickin' up mumblings about them trying to get civilians out before there's another attack - there's a LOT of mercs roamin' around acting like city security an' folks are really unsettled and scared. Heard some scuttlebutt that there's gonna be some groups headin' out to other cities, thanks for th' offer there Starlock, some are comin' your way.

So be careful on th' runs here, thinkin' Sideswipe and Kodiak had th' right idea tactically speakin, twosies so nobody gets ambushed on a solo. If we could get some anti-virals on th' next run along with just some plain ol' welding flux an' composites for plating repair. Even if I can't make limbs, I can seal things up so they can travel on.

Solstice out.
