Cobra CLAWS [COMBAT LIGHT ARMORED WEAPONS SPECIALIST] are elite Cobra troops that can take a lot of punishment and dish out even more. Suited up in specialized armor and paching heavy weapons, they move quickly into position to disable any G.I. Joe vehicle that stands in their way. The DESERT CLAWS have technology to help them survive in the hottest, driest regions of the world - special suits with heat-deflection insulation and a body cooling system. This means they can hide out where no one will find them until it's time to strike.

History[]

In 2002, several squads of CLAWS were trained to operate in extreme desert environments. In 2004 they were given new armor based on innovations designed for the Sand Scorpions.

Trivia[]

Desert-Vipers use nanomite technology. Sand-Vipers use stillsuits. Sand Scorpions are Sand-Vipers who have had their DNA altered for hostile environments. Each group thinks they are the best desert-environment division. Desert CLAWS troops often work closely with Sand Scorpions and Sand-Vipers, providing heavy weapons support.
