DEEP BLUE is only barely intelligent enough to count as a sentient being, having a much more primal, borderline animalistic personality than most. Considering his surprisingly well-trained abilities on the battlefield, it's a safe bet that he was not always this way. Found in the tunnels beneath the surface of Cybertron, the current running theory is that he was a Decepticon soldier who got lost underground somehow and spent untold millennia forced to live like a beast in order to survive the mutant-infested caverns. The details may be lost to time, but the psychological damage is evident, and one thing is certain above all else: Deep Blue is a cannibal. This attracted the attention of the Decepticon medic Deathclaw, a sadist who took Deep Blue under his wing as a sort of "pet", and their twisted relationship has only grown stronger with time. Despite only being able to form very simple sentences, Deep Blue shows great proficiency with all manner of swords to the point of obsession, with his most prized posession being the curved saber that likely helped him survive underground. While his altmode is capable of spaceflight, its beetle-like design is, appropriately enough, quite well-suited for burrowing and underground combat with tough, thick armor.

A few thousand years ago, he and a crew of five other Decepticons were chosen to embark on a scouting mission across the galaxy, in search of new conquests once the war with the Autobots was won. Naturally, being the loyalist that he is, Demonhead eagerly accepted. While exploring alien worlds in these far-off regions, he and his crew adapted to these strange environs, giving them the grotesque appearances they have now.

Demonhead's crew have recently returned to the area of space where the main action is taking place, and Demonhead has once again joined the ranks of active soldiers alongside the rest of his team.

Snapper's a violent, meatheaded thug, Deep Blue's a sadistic cannibal with a primal outlook, Deathclaw is cannibuddies with Deep Blue but even more sneerily arrogant than Demonhead, Barabat cares more about a good fight than wanton destruction, and Eyegor is the ever-unheeded tactical brains of the group who only follows Megatron because it's just how things are.
