Decepticon Forces Commander: Megatron
Acting Commander in Megatron's absence: Unassigned

Decepticon Divisions

Deathsaurus XO: Esmeral

When Megatron disappeared for several months in 2012, Starscream took charge of Earth forces, while Cyclonus took charge of Cybertron's. However, in 2013 Starscream defeated Cyclonus in personal combat and had him arrested for treason, thus cementing Starscream's role as sole leader of the Decepticons in Megatron's absence.

Nemesis began construction of a Galvatron clone to inhabit in case he needed to take over the Decepticons from Starscream. However, Megatron's return in 2013 made this contingency plan unnecessary. In the wake of the Quintesson invasion and the return of Shockwave, Megatron restored Cyclonus as Intel Commander and arrested Starscream in his place, naming Illarion the new Decepticon Air Commander. Megatron restored Shockwave to Assault Infantry leader, Military Operations Commander, and Guardian of Cybertron.

In February of 2014, Starscream was named new XO of Decepticon Aerospace. In 2015, Onslaught was named second-in-command of Assault Infantry. By 2016, Starscream was Air Commander again, and Valour XO of Decepticon Aerospace.

In 2018, Megatron briefly made Scourge CO of Decepticon Intelligence before returning Cyclonus to the position.

In 2019, Megatron promoted Scalpel to Medtech CO, Soundwave to Decepticon Intelligence CO, Overlord to Assault Infantry CO, and Deathsaurus to Aerospace CO.

In 2020, Ghost challenged Soundwave for leadership of Decepticon Intelligence and won. She appointed both him and Cyclonus as her seconds with specific fields of intent.
