DEADFALL is known as an Indifferent, uninspired slacker... He would simply sit in the command center all day if he wasn't given orders. He has extreme motivational problems, and likes nothing better than to watch the world go by. He puts more effort into avoiding work than he does the actual work. His systems are designed to be able to work at minimal, near shutdown capacity. In space, he can set coordinates, accelerate to cruising speed and then power down and simply coast to his destination. The most fuel-efficient Sweep, he’s the most likely to be fully-fueled by the time prey is found, but the least likely to actually engage the target. In silent travel mode or when lying in wait, his low-energy emissions make him nearly impossible to attract and detect. He is an Expert at setting snares and traps and is the best Sweep at coordinating ambushes. As sweepcraft, he has faster-than-light capability as well as absence-recognition scanners, and can deploy microbot pods to detect prey. As robot, he has a laser blaster and a head-mounted energon-inhibitor ray that slows down his enemies, making them easier to catch (preferably by his more active teammates). He rarely gives his all even when spurred to action, forcing Scourge to constantly defend his attitude to Decepticon Command.
History[]
Created in 1997 by Unicron, the Sweeps' first battle was on Cybertron on the way to Earth. Losing a few of their members in that initial clash, the Sweeps nevertheless continued on to Earth, where they battled the combined forces of Megatron and Optimus Prime, ultimately facing defeat and joining up with the Decepticons.
When Trans-Organics swarmed Cybertron in 2012, many of them were hunted and killed by Scourge and his Sweeps, including Demogorgon.
In 2013 a newly-emerged group calling themselves the Cult of Galvatron started hunting Sweeps in a mad plan to bring back Galvatron. Megatron destroyed the cultists on Earth, but more lurk on Cybertron, many freed by Windshear.
In 2014, Deadfall and Typhoon were infected by a new nanovirus invented by Dr. Arkeville. Deadfall went on to infect others. Arkeville eventually developed a cure and returned him to normal.
