I always keep my front towards the enemy.

Claymore is an elite covert operative serving as the commander of Tiger Force within the G.I. Joe team. Born to an immigrant father who worked in Vermont’s marble quarries, he excelled academically at Dartmouth College, graduating at the top of his class with a major in Eastern philosophy. Fluent in multiple languages, including Chinese, Japanese, Portuguese, and Vietnamese, Claymore enlisted in the U.S. Army, where he served three consecutive tours in Southeast Asia conducting classified operations. A master strategist and combatant, he trained in airborne and ranger schools, achieving expertise in all NATO small arms, sniper rifles, and explosive devices from both NATO and Warsaw Pact forces. His proficiency in martial arts and battlefield tactics earned him immense respect across military branches. At the insistence of General Hawk, he joined G.I. Joe under the condition that he be called upon for special assignments only, operating in deep secrecy. Known for his precision and discipline, few have seen Claymore in action, but those who have never forget his skill and unwavering resolve.

History[]

Canonical/Pre-MUX/Theme History:[]

Claymore was born in Vermont to an immigrant father who came to America to work in the marble quarries of Vermont. He majored in Eastern Philosophy at New Hampshire's Dartmouth College and graduated at the top of his class. He fluently speaks Japanese, Chinese, Vietnamese, and Portuguese. He is also proficient in several martial arts.

After enlisting in the Army, Claymore attended Airborne and Ranger school and spent three tours in Southeast Asia. His missions there remain classified to this day. Hawk enlisted Claymore for the G.I. Joe team, though he was only to be called in on special assignments. Very few Joes have seen or even heard of Claymore, though he occasionally led top secret missions for the team over the years prior to the team's shutdown in 1994.

MUX History:[]

Years later, Claymore joined the reinstated G.I. Joe team.

Claymore was a reserve member of G.I. Joe, called in only for special missions and never garrisoned at the Pit otherwise. He was brought in for a mission to capture and arrest Headman and was almost killed by Mistress Armada. He has since fully recovered and was XO of Bullet-Proof's team in South America.

Silent in the shadows, deadly in the light - precision, discipline, and absolute resolve.

In 2025, Claymore was brought in from the field and placed in command of G.I. Joe's new Tiger Force team.
