- The Carbombian Protection League is an organisation from Carbombya.
The Carbombian Protection League[1] or C.P.L. is, depending on who you ask, either a terrorist group or a band of freedom fighters. It was headed by former President-for-Life of Carbombya Abdul Fakkadi, and known members included Fakkadi's son-in-law, Pak Milaton, and financier Anton Surich. Their primary mission is to make life hard for the NATO troops who are in the country trying to keep order.
History[]
Two for the Price of One[]
Thanks to Fakkidi's contacts with the Decepticons, the C.P.L. were able to get their hands on 25 advanced weapons from Swindle to test as a prelude to buying more. They used the weapons to launch an attack on Belgian soldiers, and accidentally ruptured a gas main.
Satisfied with the weapons, Fakkadi arranged to purchase more, traveling to Betah to meet with Swindle. Unfortunately for him, it was a trap, and a NATO unit swooped in to arrest the higher ranks of the League. Swindle, of course, got away clean.
US embassy attacks[]
In 2012, there have been a number of attacks on US embassies by those identified as members of the Carbombian Protection League. Members of the League protest US involvement in the restructuring of the Carbombyan government, as well as Carbombyan leaders' discussion with Libya concerning possible joint rule. In 2013 the Carbombian Protection League kidnapped the Prime Minister of Carbombya in response to suspected G.I. Joe activity in the area. The Prime Minister was eventually freed by G.I. Joe.
Recent Activity[]
In 2018, Mokhtar Belmokhtar re-emerged as the new leader of a revitalized Carbombian Protection League.
