Well, I turned 50 today.
Not exactly 50. I mean, yes. 50. I was born in 1970. To Susan.
However, thanks to a few de-aging incidents, I've been told I have the 'makeup' of someone in their early 40s, ditto Carly. But for all practical purposes, I'm 50. That's what it says on my birth certificate.
And I'm on Cybertron. I was told the shuttle couldn't take off for Earth, so I'm here for another few days. As the pilot said "better here than up there." Scales and Dust Devil made me feel at home. Dusty even gave me a sort of 'digital' journal. It's really cool. The sheets look and feel like real paper. And the stylus feels like a pen. Not one of those 'peel away' things that you wrote on and peeled off as a child.
Still, I wish I was at home.

Megatron appears on-screen at Decepticon Headquarters in Tarn. His armor still shows a trace of glitter and he doesn't look happy about it. Clenching a fist, he growls, "Decepticons - step up your efforts to disrupt the Autobots' access to additional resources. We cannot allow them to build more of the likes of Fortress Maximus. Bludgeon, take over our forward bases and use the Marauders we're producing in Polyhex to pound their supply shipments until Autobot factories are choked to a desperate sputter. Optimus Prime appears on-screen from the bridge of the Ark on Earth. He leans forward in his command chair, sky-blue optics resolute and voice serious. He starts his report, however, with something positive. "Autobots, I wish first to announce the promotion of Spike Witwicky to full ambassador in charge of organic affairs. He will partner with Crosscut on diplomatic matters even as he continues to assist Ratchet in the repair bay as needed. Truly he is one of the Autobots’ most versatile assets.

In general, our theme is based on the original G1 cartoon, which forms the bedrock structure on which everything else can be added but must not contradict. So, the Transformers were built by Quintessons as products. Megatron led the modern Decepticon revolution. Orion Pax was a dockworker who was killed by Megatron and resurrected by Alpha Trion into Optimus Prime. The Transformers crash-landed on Earth four million years ago and woke back up in 1984.
To that we added elements from the non-canon animated movie (Ultra Magnus, Arcee, Blurr), non-canon third season (Technobots, etc), and the non-canon Japanese series (Star Saber, Deathsaurus, etc). Then from the Marvel comic (Circuit Breaker, Autobot Headquarters called the Ark, Unicron, e…Read more >
Emperor Megatron appears on-screen in a message recorded in the Tarn HQ Command Center after the unsuccessful attack on Iacon. His wounds have been repaired but there is still a hint of... glitter? in his armor. The sparkly Decepticon leader does not look pleased. He leans forward, glaring darkly into the camera. When he speaks his vocalizer is even more hoarse and gruff than usual.
"Fortress Maximus is active and Star Saber has returned," Megatron reports unhappily. "These dual threats pose a significant danger to our operations. We need to consolidate our resources. At the same time, we cannot allow the Autobots to rebuild while we recover from the stalemate at Iacon. Starscream - travel to Nebulos and demonstrate to its leader the need t…Read more >
Yesterday was pretty much the reckoning for the battle that happened. I realize that this is kind of a "no shit" revelation, but when you build something as big and complex as Fortress Maximus - well, he's not going to be this "magic pill" that solves all of the Autobots' problems. In short, yesterday revolved primarily around criticisms about him - I don't even want to say "criticisms" because that sounds like the 'bots were ragging on us. But it's stuff that needs to be addressed.
Cerebros was fretting about what Chromia would do for punishment. But there was no punishment. Just a very well-earned lecture for all of us to communicate better with one another. All of us have different personalities, and it's going to continue to be a stru…Read more >

But...not the most obedient of fellows. He broke Chromia's orders to hold the perimeter to Iacon, and he engaged Megatron. Here's the thing, it's not only Fort Max, it's Cerebros and myself. Also, the biggest news of the night, Star Saber is back. Apparently, HE was the the growth in Deathsaurus! Now, I've literally seen everything. That actually most likely saved our afts. I'm officially no longer an EDC commander. Carly had her first meeting with Mayday this morning. A few months ago, that meeting would have been done by Marissa and myself. I'm due to go to Cybertron soon, again to work with Fortress Maximus. But today, I'm here for support. Carly is crazy busy, so I'll be showing Mayday around - where the repair bay is, where the diplomats hang out. Show them around the EDC 'war room.'
It's weird - I logged in - just to test the security. And the Joes are on it. I got a few "You do not have access" messages, which I didn't get last week. So, it's official. And to be honest, I am a bit relieved. I loved working with Marissa with EDC, but I feel that maybe EDC wasn't entirely for me. Although I don't think …Read more >

I’ve examined the animated potatoes brought in by our field agents. Genetic analysis suggests these started out as normal potatoes - no trace of alien DNA, for example. However, I’ve detected a unique chemical residue on each of the potatoes brought in. It doesn’t match any known fertilizer or pesticide - it’s clearly related to their unusual activity. Whatever it is, it doesn’t last - after a few days, all of the self-mobile potatoes become inert; faster if they’re cut in half. I will continue to analyze them and try to isolate the foreign chemical.

Well, last night was something I haven't seen every day. I was doing my shift in the repair bay, and in walks Crosscut with a dog . I'll elaborate. Not a dog on Earth. A dog from another planet. And not a typical 'dog' from another planet, a anthropomorphic dog. They are currently experiencing a crisis on their planet, and they reached out to the Autobots for help. Before I could say "let me look at my schedule," Crosscut up and volunteered me. So, it looks like I'll be traveling in the near future. Topspin laughs. "Woulda served him right, too," he chuckles. "Anyway..."

Megatron appears on screen, standing strong with fusion cannon ready. You can almost see the evil thought impulses racing behind his glowing red optics.
"Miasma," Megatron begins. "Poisoning the Autobots’ energon reserves when they need them most is just the sort of forward thinking I expect from Decepticon MedTech. Gather what resources you need and work with Cyclonus’s team to deploy as dastardly a concoction as possible. Then move on to poison the energon supplies of their allies. Red’s optics widen and he nods in agreement with his own assessment. He scans around the room twice before continuing.
"Someone or someones have it out for the citizens of Valvolux, and if the source of this ‘plague’ isn’t found, other cities - including Iacon - could be next. I resigned from EDC last night. It was drama-free. No disagreements or protests. Optimus Prime promoted Carly as EDC commander, to fill in for Marissa (more on that later) when she takes her leave. The battle was, from what I've heard - catastrophic. There are several casualties on each side. So much in fact that Optimus Prime has called for a temporary truce between Autobots and Decepticons. With an appreciative tone, Prime continues, "I offer sincere thanks to Aegis, Elita One, Chromia, and Star Saber for keeping the light burning while so many of us were afflicted with nucleosis. It is good to know that even if I s…Read more >
Optimus Prime is still in quarantine, it pains me to see him in this state, and I know he'd rather be back on the frontlines.
I've heard a few concerned rumblings around Earth from some media outlets. It's known around the world that Optimus Prime has voluntarily stepped down from his duties as Autobot Commander. And given how beloved he is on Earth, and how much our Earth leaders rely on Optimus, there has been some genuine concern about the new interim leader, Star Saber. I think the people on Earth were expecting someone familiar - a Jazz, an Ultra Magnus, a Prowl. And now, there's not only an unfamiliar name (at least to Earth) taking over the reins, but someone who I believe has never visited Earth.
So, in short, people were concerne…Read more >
The mysterious Aegis appears on screen, her expression grave. In her slight Vosian accent she reports, "The assault on Ratchet so soon after our most recent infiltration is more than disturbing. Ironhide - I need a complete overhaul of Iacon’s security practices. These attacks must stop. Question Electra and report back immediately. Someone is breaching our defenses and it’s looking more and more like an inside job. We need to find the mole and shut them down.
"Flareup, with the additional reporting by Dust Devil I assume the dragon you witnessed must be Bulwark leading the Fallen away from Valvolux. In the meantime we can’t leave that city undefended. Kup, unless Chromia has counter-orders you have my approval to bring command and control …Read more >
Firster Aid appears on-screen. He looks a lot like First Aid although a little bluer and a lot faster. His mouth is masked but there is alarm in his optics. "Last cycle," he reports anxiously, "I was working late with Chief Ratchet when I stepped out to retrieve some reports. No sooner than I walked outside Iacon Medical then the door sealed behind me and there was some kind of explosion inside. Ratchet started screaming," Firster pauses, "...and I went to get a security force to break down the door."
Firster Aid take a moment to cool down, his internal fans audibly struggling. "When we got back inside, we found Chief Ratchet literally dismembered. It looked like someone took a surgical saw to his ambulance mode and just cut pieces out as p…Read more >
After what seems years, the United States was liberated from Cobra occupation by G.I. Joe this week. I was actually in Washington, D.C. during the battle. And good lord, did they come in fast. I was in D.C. to talk to some members of the House, just an update about the Autobots. For history's sake, Cobra allowed some forms of government to exist. They wisely decided that while yes, they could take over a country as big as the U.S., big surprise, they didn't have the resources to do stuff like continue food inspections, send out Social Security checks, and approve new cancer-treating drugs.
Anyway, after meeting with House members, I went back to the hotel. I just wanted a beer, read through some reports, and maybe either so some leisure r…Read more >
WASHINGTON, DC – Fireworks exploded last night as US military forces launched a nation-wide coordinated strike to free American cities from Cobra control. Residents reported city-wide blackouts followed by surgical strikes to each major population area. Precision timing and localized fighting reportedly kept civilian injures to an absolute minimum. For the first time since 2016, the American flag flew once more over the White House in Washington, DC.
President John MacLeod was quick to take credit for the mission’s success. From his Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach, Florida, MacLeod boasted, “last night was the greatest military victory in the history of the world,” citing, “the most advanced level of military coordination since the Norm…Read more >
