Crosscut appears in the small office he’s using in the Praxus Assembly. He appears dustier than usual – a clear indication of field work. His pale golden optics gaze out of the screen, and his pleasant voice reports, “Calyhex has safely returned to Cybertron, and now rests in the Death Zone in Praxus. She’s pretty badly damaged from her travels – Ratchet, can Starlock and you see if you funnel any medical aid through sources that aren’t obviously tied to the Autobots?”
“I spoke with Ambassador Ghost of the Decepticons, and she seems just as keen as I to keep Calyhex out of the civil conflict. In addition to it being unfair to Calyhex, she is also dangerously unstable and isn’t suitable for military objectives. With Praxus decidedly neu…
A blurry picture from a dirty camera lens shows the unwashed face of former Alley-Viper commander Gristle. Although he’s in a small, shadowy, untidy room, the Jamaican operative is wearing dark sunglasses that hide his eyes. “Headman, huh?” the man chuckles darkly.
“Weh yaw she? I might know a guy who knows a guy, for the right price. If you’re as good as you think, you’ll know where to find me, and bring cash. Maybe we can do some business. See ya inna di morrows.” He smiles, showing one gold tooth, and then reaches a greasy hand to shot off the recorder.
Marissa Faireborn appears on-screen, wearing her armored white jumpsuit. She’s standing in Autobot City’s Command Center, in the human-scaled section dedicated to Earth Defense Command. Commander Faireborn addresses the camera and says, “With Ambassador Witwicky’s extensive absence from Earth, and Ultra Magnus’s continued presence on Cybertron, Autobot City is starting to feel left out of the loop.
“Optimus Prime, until Spike’s return, please assign another ambassador to Earth. Also, if you pick up any communications from Nebulos, pass them along to my office through Hurricane. We’re attempting to build up Earth’s space defenses – we realize what technology the Autobots can share is limited by the Tyrest Accords, but if you could spare …
While Captain Sci-Fi made a very comprehensive report, I thought I’d add a few things to finish off the updates.
The captive, Olin Zarak, remains in custody. The Nebulans have supplied a mixture that dampens his psychic abilities without rendering him continuously unconscious – it means we still must listen to him talk, but I’m less worried about an escape.
Captain Countdown has almost fully recovered from his gunshot and will soon be able to resume command of the Crusader. In the meantime, we were able to land it on one of Nebulos’s moons long enough to make some basic repairs, and then safely set it down on Nebulos for the rest.
Thanks to upgrades, the Crusader can now take off and land without the need for external rock…
Floodlight appears in a video filmed in Trypticon’s command center. This time, the camera isn’t angled to make her look more physically imposing than she really is. Nonetheless, she appears more assured than before as she addresses the camera directly and records a report in a calm, confident tone. "Last orbital cycle, I went to speak with Goth in Altihex.
“I realize Goth is considered a traitor, but while he works with the Destrons and so do we, it is important for us to know his activities and attitude towards the Empire,” Floodlight explains. “Goth agreed to meet with me, so I traveled to his lab. First Deathsaurus and then Esmeral joined us – apparently Goth contacted them as soon as I reached out to him.

Airwave – we need to improve communications with Nebulos. If necessary, travel up to Space Station Delta and see if you can reach them better from space. I’m assigning Concealer, Wraith, and you to Star Brigade for the duration of this mission. Report to Payload from now on rather than your individual command officers.
Concealer – good work with the combat simulations. We could all use some combat refreshers – both on the ground and in the air. Subject: Contact with Sci-Fi
Earlier this evening, the Pit received contact from Captain Sci-Fi on Nebulos. Flint called me to respond, and Sci-Fi and I had a partially garbled conversation, but confirmed the Joes on Nebulos are alright and that they are continuing working on improving interstellar communications. At Flint’s orders, I will attempt to do the same on this end.

Thanks for Ghost for compiling the results for our (2016-) 2021 +Awards! Now, take these with a grain of salt – we only tallied characters with more than 100 +Awards, so if you played 3 characters with 99 awards each, you wouldn’t show up on the list, even though you’d have more combined awards than something who got 100 on one character. So, this isn’t perfect. Still, it’s a nice way to thank those that have been IC and roleplaying, and we might work on little prizes for the winners.
Without further ado, then, here are our top scorers as of December 31, 2021:
- Goth/ Starlock/ Starscream!
- Hot Rod/ Ravage/ Sideswipe!
- Dust Devil!
- Backblast/ Encore / Banshee / Sinatra!

The fake Sci-Fi issue seems to have resolved itself, although not in the matter of my choosing. If there was an attack against him while in our custody, I mean to know about it immediately.
With the current situation, I can’t approve any further off-base activities or leave, aside from the upcoming Martin Luther King celebration. However, Concealer, if you’d like to lead some on-site alternative training exercises, have at it. Just wear pants.
Duke, I’ve approved the attempt by Cloudburst and Concealer to refurbish our backup Starfighter for our use, and Wraith to test-fly it. I’ve also promoted Wraith to assist in air command activities in the absence of Countdown and Robo-JOE.

Cobra Commander appears in the Great Hall of the Silent Castle, seated atop a large, cobra-shaped throne. Just barely visible behind his left shoulder is the MASS device, guarded by Iron Grenadiers. Cobra Commander leans forward slightly, and his electronically processed voice hisses though his mirrored mask. “Cobra!” he announces. “The time to strike is now! Gather my forces and prepare to attack!”
“Baronesss!” Cobra Commander hisses. “Get the latest intelligence possible to Major Bludd and Storm Shadow so they may plan an attack on the Pit immediately. The Joes have been quiet – too quiet – and I want to know what they’re up to. Mindbender – now that we have the MASS device, accelerate your Bio Organic Weapon program. Include the…

Thanks for your swift analysis, Lady Jaye. I’ll have him talk to Psyche-Out or Spirit before we make any decisions. The situation isn’t unprecedented, however – alternate versions of both Boyajian and WhiteEagle rejected the harsh values of the other-Joes, and either retired from their service, or joined with us against them and Cobra. Of course, trust needs to be earned, but there is a chance his offer is sincere.
Chameleon, Rook – talk to him and see what else you can learn about his motivations. Meanwhile, keep him closely guarded – there’s still a good chance it’s a long game or a trick.

Rumours have been swirling the internet that Misfits have fired lead singer Pizzazz, but how true is it? We explore the posts.
A post on Twitter suggested that the band had kicked lead singer Pizzazz out. An account named @TheMisfitsBand, posted a status detailing that the band was parting ways and the reasons for it.
“Unfortunately, there were some viewpoints that were said that we do not agree with and it was negatively impacting the rest of the band. We wish her well and hope she can find the help she needs,

Pizzazz, the singer for the Misfits, has found out the hard way that some bands are drawing a hard line on social media posts that are seen to affect the group’s image. She posted on her social media Tuesday that she’s been ousted from the group because of posts she made on Twitter.
Beyond being replaced on an upcoming tour, Pizzazz says she’s been told not to show up at the studio, either, even though she claims to have a legitimate medical reason for not performing with the band anyway.
It’s not entirely clear from Pizzazz’s posts whether she has been fired from the group permanently or just put on hiatus, but comments about working on non-band projects and “find(ing) a new way forward” suggest she doesn’t foresee coming ba…

Tele-Viper 2644 appears in the Command Center of the Solar Serpent. Behind her, large, armored windows offer a dizzyingly beautiful view of the Solar System. TV2644 doesn’t seem to notice. Instead, she is focused on a neat row of servers stacked carefully in front of her. When she speaks, important data flashes across her helmet to emphasize certain bits of information.
TV2644 smiles. “Ratcatcher brought back quite a haul from the Live Nation headquarters. Probably more than you’d think.” She places a gloved hand on one of the servers. “First, extensive customer data, useful for both intelligence gathering purposes and marketing research – we have email, passwords, preferences, financial transaction records, the works. The Decepticon spinny clicks off, but for a moment, there is only a black screen. “Side with Bludgeon and see what happens?” a mysterious voice asks, quoting Starscream's warning. Glowing crimson optics appear in the darkness, slowly illuminating a red-tinged turquoise mask hiding a sinister face beneath a jet-black helmet. The figure leans closer to the camera. “Well, my curiosity is aroused for sure,” the voice says. “Find out, indeed...” The screen blanks out. Eventually, the Decepticon spinny returns.
Ratchet leans over a station in the main lab of the Iacon Medical Center. His blue optics are dim, and he frowns, speaking into a small mic. “No word from Inferno or Hot Spot about Imager – we’re still looking, though. She’s too big to lose easily. We’ll find her,” he says with confidence that isn’t reflected in his expression. “Holi, I want you and the rest of the Rescue Patrol Team to join the search – we have to find her before any more predators do.”

Four strikes hit it from above, although it is unclear if they were orbital or sub-orbital.

Tales of monsters stealing corpses have sprung up at the ANU Medical School in Canberra, mirroring similar claims made by university security at teaching schools across southeastern Australia. It's been a strange few days. Tuesday I was on Cybertron taking in a concert. No really. It was amazing. Friday the city the concert had been held in was wiped from the face of the planet by ... somebody. The Cybertronians were understandably upset. Somebody apparently fired an orbital weapon and took out the city in two shots. Killed a bunch of Cybertronian people too. Decepticons, Autobots, Neutrals... a lot of them folks who were in town for the concert. I never really thought about those robots having feelings or being... people, even. But they are. Strangest thing. I'm still sorting it out, I guess.
The concert featured a few songs composed by Earthly composers. The Cybertronians seemed impressed by the music. One I ov…

Aegis appears in a holographic recording made before she travelled back in time, ultimately to her doom. She smiles sadly, speaking to the unseen recipient of her message. “Ghost,” she says softly. “You don’t really know me, and for quite a while, we have been on opposites of a long war. And yet, I have an unfair favor to ask of you. I would not ask you to betray your oath as a Decepticon, but outside of that stipulation, I must ask you... please look after my brother, Blitzkrieg.”
“Not the fast-attack Decepticon Blitzkrieg,” Aegis clarifies quickly. “My brother, who has since joined the Autobots. Not out of disloyalty to the Empire, but out of loyalty to me. You see, we were abandoned in the field, left to die during an assault on I…
< Audio Recording > This is Greenshirt Medic 12621 reporting from the Joe base camp in the caves of Nebulos. As Scarlett more extensively reported, yesterday we encountered an injured former member of the Nebulan resistance and brought him back to the Veracity for treatment. While largely unfamiliar with Nebulan biology, I was able to at least make him comfortable. He possesses custom cybernetic limbs that were heavily damaged. Captain Gears offered to look at them if he can get the Crusader down to the surface. Failing that, perhaps we could seek out this ‘Hi-Q’ that built them? A local ally with access to advanced technology might be helpful in more ways that one. Specialist De Lorenzo, Greenshirt Medic 12621, out. >
Captain Gears appears in a video recorded in the cramped confines of the Crusader. He looks a little giddy, like maybe there’s not quite enough oxygen left in the orbiting Joe shuttle already. “OK,” he begins. “Hear me out. First, the bad news – the Crusader’s flight controls are damaged, and until we repair them, we’re not going anywhere. Worse, I don’t have all the spare parts necessary to fix the damage – for now, we’re sitting ducks, unable to maneuver at all.”
A manic grin spreads across the Joe engineer’s face. “Now, we have some suggestions. We could cannibalize the Avenger scout craft for parts. As a one-man ship, it’s not going to get many of us out of here anyway. The only person I’d send down to Nebulos on it is Captain Countd…

Tap-Out sits in some sort of moving vehicle. Occasionally, there is a lurch and Tap-Out must reach out to stabilize himself against the metal patchwork interior of his unstable transportation. I still haven’t been able to contact Earth, but we’ve recovered quite a bit of local technology, as well as a hostage, from a group of thugs we stopped from harassing a village nearby our initial touchdown location. We plan to question him soon – I wish now we had Rook with us.

the following was written on a cheap, leatherbound journal, purchased at Target. The writing is slightly frantic*
Day 6 on Nebulous.
One philosophical discussion I've repeatedly heard about the Autobots' involvement on Earth is their relative "hands-off" approach to our affairs. Given that it's been 20 years since 9/11, that's a pretty perfect case study. During those horrible days, the Autobots helped during the cleanup in New York. Prime did his usual inspiring speech about how "the Autobots are with the grieving people in the U.S." and all - but then after that... it was back to fighting Decepticons. No "helping the military go after the people who caused this." No "helping overthrow the Taliban." Like Rwanda, or Kosovo, to the Autobots..…
Red Alert appears in a mobile recording from the Pious Pools. Despite the relaxing atmosphere, the Autobot Security Director’s optics look ready to pop out of his head. “Optimus, are you INSANE?” asks the pot to the kettle. “You know this ‘uninvited guest’ can walk through walls, correct?” he gasps, narrowing down who this unnamed visitor might be. “We need to get her out of Iacon IMMEDIATELY. My initial scans of the Pious Pools have turned up no trace of sabotage, but that just means it’s well hidden even from ME!”
Red shakes his head violently. “And then Starscream just shows up magically at our gate, demanding peace? Don’t trust his words, Prime – I have been on the other end of that silver vocaliser. He can’t be trusted, and yo…

She stands up very straight, and says formally, “I apologize, Lord Regent Starscream, for the lateness of my last report. I will endeavor to be more prompt in the future.” Her large optics go slightly glassy as she pulls up internal notes.
“Scourge, I need you and your trackers to scour Cybertron for Ghost. Start at the point she parted ways with Dust Devil and spread out from there. Contact Commander Soundwave for information on her last location before you depart. Until Commander Ghost’s return, Vizier, please focus your endeavors on negotiat…

Soon, my team will take Vector Trion, an avatar of Alpha Trion, back in time with us, to help forestall fates that would have originally befallen us had we not altered the timeline, and to prepare for known threats to come.
