Beast Tribes[]
The world has rebooted, and transformed into a primordial state. One that sapient life is struggling to adapt to. The world is plush and pure, with great beasts that make it their home. A world where mech and beast live a symbiotic relationship.
Energon is produced again, gathering in streams and lakes, and the planet itself, still fresh from its reforging, emanates a strong radiation pulse that hampers the Beast Tribes robot mode.
While systems will purge this overload over time, they require an altmode that can suffice here on Cybertron with enough shielding to survive.
The modes used are that of the Beasts themselves, cybernetic creatures that live in the world, and adhering to their own natural cycle.
Differences from Beast Wars[]
Given that Beast Wars takes place on Earth in the past, I deemed it was impossible to tell that story again, and it couldn't be done on Cybertron either given the organic nature of things, so we reimagine the Beast Wars concept, pushing it back to early civilization.
Ranged weapons are going to be rare, unless they're javelins, spears, bows, or slings. There's a specific reason for this that will be gotten into later.
Predacons and Maximals may yet be tribes, but we do not know yet, as the tribes have not been named. It could very well be that certain tribes unified under the Predacon or Maximal banner later.
Great ruins still survive the reformatting on New Cybertron. Large areas with strange computer systems that are unintelligible, showing data or housing weaponry that is far beyond the scope and power of the primitive tribesmen. This may very well be the only place one could find a modern ranged weapon. Lasers, missiles, rifles, they are objects of great power in the Tribes game, and they will be exchangable to each other. These objects will change the tide of battle. However, it is not just weaponry that will be found down there. Imagine finding communicators, targetting assists, path recognition software. Imagine how any of these things that the Cybertronians took as basic, would work in this new setting.
