G.I. Joe team member Ashiko is an Arashikage ninja and a professional motorcycle stunt rider. By combining martial arts expertise with advanced stunt motorbike skills, Ashiko becomes a menacing stealth missile on wheels.
Description[]
Ashiko on their Armour Cycle
Kaeru is a ninja, hiding his face behind a black contoured mask. Over his torso he wears a quilted black armor crisscrossed with straps and combat webbing. Over dark grey lightweight tactical pants Kaeru wears black thigh shields and grey shin guards. Black gloves and grey boots complete his attire, and a black katana slung across his back supplements the handguns strapped to his body.
History[]
Canonical/Pre-MUX/Theme History:[]
Ashiko was born Kaeru Nakamura in 1992 in Honolulu, Hawaii, assigned female at birth. After devoting his youth to motorcycle stunt riding and martial arts, he eventually joined G.I. Joe, seeking out even bigger thrills and a chance to reboot his identity away from people who knew him as female growing up.
MUX History:[]
Ashiko joined G.I. Joe in 2012 and was assigned to Ninja Force.
Ashiko returned to Hawaii in December of 2013 to marry his long-time fiancée, Olivia, the month it was made legal in that state.
Ashiko assisted at a community-oriented martial arts school in Spanish Harlem, New York, when he wasn't on duty with the Joes, until it was shut down in 2014. He then operated out of the Pit.
In 2015, Ashiko was assigned to scout out Cobra mining operations in Frusenland. He provided much of the intel for the mission, as well as assisting with Tripwire's evac afterward.
In 2022, Ashiko was assigned to the San Francisco dojo.
In 2023, Ashiko met a fellow trans Joe, Concealer, and seemed to form a fast friendship based on common experiences. In early May, however, they both witnessed the brutal public murder of Storm Shadow by Snake-Eyes.
In 2025, Ashiko is considering retiring from G.I. Joe.
OOC Notes[]

- Ashiko loves puns in both English and Japanese.
- Ashiko's wife, Olivia, owns a home in Kapaʻa on the Hawaiian island of Kauaʻi.
