2024

2024 (MMXXIV) is the current year and is a common year starting on Monday of the Gregorian calendar, the 2024th year of the Common Era (CE) and Anno Domini (AD) designations, the 24th year of the 3rd millennium and the 21st century, and the 5th year of the 2020s decade.

As the year begins, Veritas Prime still has the Matrix of Leadership. Alpha Trion leads the Autobots and Megatron leads the Decepticons. Cybertron and Earth are under threat by the Cybertronian Empire, controlled by Liege Maximo. Although G.I. Joe and Cobra continue to clash, they are willing to put aside their differences to defend the Earth against invaders. The Junkions are beginning to re-gather and there is change in the winds for their faction.

Many rebel city-states have been destroyed by Megatron for insurrection, including Helex and Stanix. Starscream has been jailed, Cyclonus has been named Air Commander and Shockwave has taken over Crystal City, rebuilding it. Cybertron flourishes, and New Harmonex grows, slowly beginning to mirror the glory of Old Harmonex.

The Sleeping Sickness, which ravaged Cybertron, has been cured, but the source of the illness might be worse than the disease -- the Liege Maximo has spent the last solar cycle running battle simulations in the minds of the sleeping Cybertronians and is now ready to attack with intelligence pulled from dozens of high-level Transformers' minds. Soundblaster has revealed himself to be involved with the plot.

Metalhawk has been put in charge of Earth defense, working closely with the EDC, while Elita One focuses on preparing Cybertron for Liege Maximo's attack. Alpha Trion plans to send out a group of Autobots to contact the lost colonies for help, searching for lost Titans, Planetary Keys -- anything he can use against his wily brother. Grimlock leads an Autobot splinter group less willing to play by the rules of the brief truce.

January[]

January 3 - "Distract And Disassemble" - Barghest is keen on getting his hands on the armor tech that Greathawk possesses, for himself, and maybe for Cobra as well. Continued provocation of the lab specimen finally nets the result he was after much to Metal-Head's shock and dismay.
January 6 - "Not Wakey Time Yet Love" - Barghest's plans begin to come to fruition with the assistance of Deadline, Metal-Head, Zarana, and Over Kill. Cobra is finally able to strip the armored suit off of Greathawk.
January 12 - "Fine Day For Aggressive Science" - Barghest will do everything he can to get the information on Greathawk's suit. Even the Infernal Machine.

January 14 - "Bees In The Brain" - Zarana hauls Greathawk out of that undisclosed medical facility and on a road trip while the other woman is still broken from her experiences with the infernal device. Somehow... Lifeline and Low-Light are alerted and arrive.
January 15 - 'Ruined Life' - Zandar is in the hospital after being assaulted severely by an unknown assailant. Zarana has begun the family watch and a unknown man slides in through the window to confront her and visit Zandar. Zartan to comes to sit bedside with his brother. And unknown to them all, there is an eavesdropper outside the window.
January 17 - "Tracking And Talking' - Zartan is watching over Zandar at the hospital when he decides to go out and try to find some clues of his brothers assailants. A ninja in black is also around, snooping for information.
January 18 - "Best Apple Ever" - After days of medical testing and medical shades for recovery food, Sel gets an apple and she loves it.
January 18 - 'Of Favors And Pants' - Continuing his watch over the Dreadnok in the hospital, Storm Shadow once more pretends to be a cobra ninja, taking to Zarana on a parking deck.
January 19 - 'Black Does Not Blend' - Storm Shadow continues his stalking - running into 'Barca' outside the hospital. Once more feigning he's a cobra ninja, as it's worked so well thus far.
January 24 - "Walking Others Dreams" - Greathawk gets caught breaking and entering after nightmare-walking, in a manner of speaking.
January 29 - "Complex Maneuvers In The Dark" - A covert mission gone south, Scarlett has to only hold out until the calvary arrives. With the calvary comes complications and coveted information on the PMC that assaulted one of the Joe's bases, killing several of their members.

February[]

February 10 - "Surreal Sparring" - A night in the training room causes more questions than answers when Greathawk and Lifeline have a friendly spar.
February 22 - "One Day At A Time" - Low-Light is out for a nightly walk outside the Pit and he comes across Greathawk out for a night run.
February 27 - "Problematic Intrusive Thoughts" - Dr. Steen sets up a counseling appointment for Selena as part of her therapy after her capture by Cobra.
February 27 - "Appalling Choices" - Tomas and Edwin have an evening chat that dissolves into the exposure of potentially dangerous knowledge.
February 29 - "Ominously Complicated Conversation" - Storm Shadow reaches out to Scarlett for advice on a grave situation much to her shock and surprise.

March[]

March 1 - "Not The Heartbreak Expected" - Stress alone can kill. Edwin's stress levels are at a dangerous point, causing a medical emergency.
March 23 - "Badlands Bad Hiking" - Strings are pulled and both G.I. Joe and the Autobots are asked to help with the rescue of a hiking group from the Badlands, North Dakota. Time is limited as a winter storm is covering the area with the threat of a blizzard.

April[]

April 11 - "Philosophy Among Allies" - Veritas and Ultra Magnus begin to talk philosophy up on Earth's moon when Dust Devil and Banshee join.

April 23 - "Space the Pirate Frontier" - Several teams converge on a corner in the Milky Way in response to a distress call that went out not 48 hours before.

April 25 - "More than Building a Bunker" - Perceptor meets Bludd to discuss the building of a bunker beneath Luck in case of Liege Maximo. With a side of Wheeljack.

May[]

May 10 - "Planned Presents" - A short tale of 3 presents.
May 11 - "Hai yorokonde" - Edwin treats Tomas to a weekend trip in Paris, France.
May 23 - "Sunny Day in Seattle" - Tomas spent the week in Seattle running errands and handling 'family' business. Then he has a run-in with someone calling himself Snake-Eyes. How rude.
May 30 - "A Dress to Die For?" - SG-Snake-Eyes decides to track down Scarlett, but perhaps luckily for her, Storm Shadow happens to be in the area.

June[]

June 5 - "Meeting The Joes" - Pile-Up drops by the Pit to offer a trade...

July[]

July 2 - "I Will Not Fight You!" - Cerebros encounters Ravage on one of his many solitary drives. He desperately tries to prevent a fight.

6 July - "We're Heroes Now" - Buzzer drops by Bludd's office in Luck with an offer.
